My eyes kept switching from the TV to the computer, so I really didnt get any names. But, I love this years theme of it. The music reminds me so much of POC

Rupert, the "troubled teen mentor" is a trip, but i don't think he last far enough to win. I'm sure half the male population in America is disappointed that busty babe Nicole is gone. She would have never lasted in that dress!

Tough opening challenge too.

Loved the way they set this one up and took them by surprise. Amazing how creative some of them were to get supplies!

Big hippie Rupert is pretty funny, hope he lasts awhile, though he is fairly alarming!

seems like a good mix this time, but hard to tell from the first episode.

The pirate theme was cool too, loved the immunity idol.

Well, I am at school and our power went out because of Isabelle which was so annoying so I missed all the way up the the challenge, but I loved what I saw thus far, the pirate theme, and it looks like another great season!!!

Lucky my parents taped it for me at home, where I will be for the weekend.

I'm not sure yet who I think (or hope) will win. I'd guess that Rupert has a good chance. I thought this was the best premiere episode of Survivor in quite a while. The pirate theme is great and the twist at the beginning was classic.

The meat of the article is based on off-shore betting. For the last Survivor, the most bets were placed on Heidi & Jenna. So much so that they stop taking any more bets weeks before the show was over. For this Survivor, they obtained some bets BEFORE the show even aired, all for one of the contestants, all from very near where he/she lived.

Naturally, it could be a CBS "plant" placing the bets hoping to throw people off, but who really knows?

I am watching this season. And man, the title of this season sounds so familiar, humm... I wonder why *cough* rip off!

I thought it was funny when they stole the others shoes and traded them for other stuff. From the very start on the boat I liked the Drake team. So I am going to say I want one of them to win. I think that Rupert is great. Any man that is comfortable to wear a skirt on TV deserves some credit.

I'm not going to look at the rest of this thread, but we had Isabel coverage instead of Survivor. It'll re-air this Sunday. I'll post my ideas.

This was the best premiere Survivor has had. No supplies, no extra clothes, no food, no luxury items ... more like an actual survival outing. I almost swore off Survivor after last season's ending fiasco (Rob so deserved to win; Jenna? Ugh). I'm glad I didn't, because this looks to be a fun season.

Right now I'm rooting for Andrew. He may be a bit pompous, but he's the first Chicagoan ever on Survivor. And I always root for the hometown guys (except the Cubs, but that's a whole 'nother story).

Anyone still watching? What a twist tonight! I've heard somewhere who gets back in, so I'll keep it quiet until you see next week. Someone at CBS has a very creative mind.

OF COURSE i am still watching! Better than ever.

I'd rather watch this over Friends and Willand Grace because of their very poor seasons thus far. Scrubs is still great annd underrated. I still tape Survivor though and watch it after these shows with my friends. Maybe that will change....

And yes, even viewers never ever know what to expect. Each season has many rule changes and things thrown in to shake it up.

If DRAKE NEVER intentionally lost that challenge they would be so mcuh ahead now...

Im watching too! That was some twist...although I kind of felt badly for Morgan and Drake, because while, yes, the Outcasts were eatting meager food rations, where they sleeping on bamboo exposed to the elements? Did they have to fish or lug water back and forth? They all looked clean and rested, and knew that this twist was coming. So from that perspective, I found it a bit unfair.

Great twist though...cant wait to see who gets voted IN.

Oh, and how about Osten? :veryconfu
