Super Walmart Center

Hi all.

I was looking at Map Quest to locating the closest Walmart Super Center.

The reason beign that since we will be in the resort during Thanksgiving, I plan to cooking dinner in our villa.

I noticed that there are 2 Super Centers about the same distance from the resort, one off of Vineland Rd. in Kissimmee & the other off of Turkey Lake Rd. in Orlando, they are both about 15 drive from the resort, I just was not sure if one was nicer than the other.

There is a Walmart off of State Road 27 that is about a 1/8th a mile from US192. I only suggest this one as it is newer and doesn't seem as packed many of the others mentioned here. I go to this one often as it is just 4 miles from my dads home and doesn't seem swamped with tourists.

Either Walmart Supercenter is going to be very busy at any time of day or night, but the one on Vineland is newer and cleaner if that makes much of a difference. Both are great for mutant, errrr, people watching.

What 24 hour wal mart is close to Universal? I will be leaving Universal at closing on Thanksgiving and headed towards a hotel off of Colonial.

There is a Walmart on Kirkman. There is also a Publix at Kirkman and Hiawassee. Used to live down the street.

Just to satisfy my curiousity, what happens at night?

You could meet some characters who aren't Disney characters.

If you head East from WDW on the 192, there is a huge supertarget just after the junction where the 535 meets the 192. Turn left after Jo-ann's, and there is a range of shops, with supertarget at the back. Actually, I think we went down the 535 from WDW and found it much quicker than the 192, but it depends where you are staying.
