When you shoot off the slide at the end how bad does it hurt whenyour back skims across that, if at all? Or is there any other painful bumps coming down there to be aware of?

I haven't done Summit Plummet (line was too long) but I did Slush Gusher, the one right next to it. The bottoms of the slides are pretty much the same.

You don't drop into a pool or anything. The slide levels out at the bottom, and there's a long run-out with water that's a few inches deep. You don't skim *across* the water but rather you kinda slide INTO the water. Doesn't hurt, but be prepared for the inevitable wedgie. ;)

Plus, women would be "safer" wearing a one-piece suit... :lookaroun

I rode it last year. My kids dared me to do it as they were both too scared to try. The line was short so I took the plunge.

Its both exhilarating...and painful. It felt as if someone had...hmmm how to put it without being too crude..... when I was coming down it felt as if the water was trying to...forcibly violate my rear, like an angry proctologist and afterwards...for at least a few hours after it felt as if my butt had gone a few rounds with a boxer. It hurt...but I have to say that drop was alot of fun.

If your planning on doing it a two piece suit is not an option...or you'll finish with maybe one piece if your lucky. Either way, part of your suit is going up...and fast. They tell you at the top of the hill to cross your legs...I would recommend locking them in a crushing steel death grip to avoid as much punishment as possible.

The slide next to it (I think its the slush n' gusher) is a double hump hill...you litterally fly a little in the air on the second bump. Which is kinda painful too..since you sort of knee-jerk react by putting your hands out to steady and then you land.

LOL Hope that doesn't keep you away.... sometimes a little pain is worth alot of fun :)

Fun, fun, fun but also a little bit sore. When I say sore, it isn't even half as bad as the Taumata Racer at Aquatica which has a nasty habit of the water flow raising the middle of the mat just as your crotch comes down on top it. Ouch.

Tips for Summit Plummit. Keep your legs crossed, your arms folded and watch out for the wedgie.

Heading for the great escape.
Just think of it as an enema with velocity. Actually Slush Gusher is the more "interesting" slide as I got some air time on the humps, and Im not sure if I enjoyed that experience or not.

I've never been on summit plummit but I've been on similar and not felt any pain at all. Maybe just a slight stinging but nothing that lasted more than a couple of minutes.

As another poster said, you don't fall into a pool of water with flailing limbs, you 'glide' (albeit very quickly) into shallow water which slows you down.

As others have said, the ending does give some unadvertized sensations. I've only done it once per visit with no lasting...a ....damage.

My son talked me into doing Humunga Kowabunga four times straight, and I had to explain two black and blue marks to my wife... Imagine Summit has that same potential.

Would I do 'em again, you bet.

Interesting to know guys...

Colleen (my gf) an I were talking about it last night after my hockey game with some teammates and she was like "Dude I ain't doing that cause you will get balled up"! So I started thinking and said I have neve heard anyone on here mention that at all, so let me ask!

Thanks for the responses!

I rode in March and it is a blast! The drop sure seems even bigger from the top, at least I thought so.

The slide is a ton of fun, but like most have pointed out, can be a bit bumpy. I got to the end and kinda hit the side wall a time or two so add a potentially sore hip into the mix along with everything else.

That said, I thought it was the best slide at the park and would go back to Blizzard Beach just to ride it again.

I don't want to start a panic, but look at what happened to poor Kermit on that slide!

As long as you keep your legs crossed the only thing you will have to deal with is a wedgie. My legs came uncrossed when i went on it a couple of years ago and it was not pleasant!

It is a really fun slide, so when you get there do it first when the queue isn't too long!

Slush Gusher is argubly a more painful slide due to its bumps and airtime, but is still enjoyable.
