well, unfortunately, I have to go. I have to work my other job today and I have to drive a half an hour from work tonight...which usually my trip is 10 minutes. So...I need to skedadle. Love you all!

So, just got back from the doc about my leg. Still don't know a whole lot. He's convinced that it's my hip. WHAT AM I 80??!! He said there's a pocket or sac in your hip that, if it gets inflammed, can hurt like heck. He thinks the combo of me....uh hurting it dancing too hard at the bachelorette party that weekend (:o ) combined w/ my 1st yoga class the next week is probably the culprit. The problem is, that it's very hard to tell for sure. He prescribed me an anti-inflammatory that I'll take for a week as well as just basically baby that leg, and see if that helps. If not we'll go from there. I'm hoping it works because he mentioned something about an injection. :dazzle: :dazzle: *faints* I think I'd almost rather deal w/ the breathtaking pain.

Hi!! I'm Kristin. I've said hello a few times on here but don't think we've met. It sounds like the dr. is describing trochanteric bursitis. Did he mention anything about trying physical therpay before giving you a cortisone shot? I've had good luck with treating patients with that. And the best part is- no needles!! If you do end up trying the shot, it does hurt for the first 2-3 days (i've had 3), but if it is buristis, the shot will definitely help. The only thing is if it's not (the pain could be referred from your back), the shot won't do anything for you. I wish you luck and if you have any questions, let me know! (I'm a physical therapist)

Hi to everyone else! Sorry to hear lots of people had a crappy Monday. :(

Actually, he DID mention buristis! He didn't mention anything about physical therapy...to be honest, I felt a little rushed. He said it could be from my back as well, but I have no pain in my back. The shooting, intense, take-my-breath away pains I keep getting are on the top front of my leg...sometimes on my upper thigh, and sometimes a little higher where it connects to my pelvis. But nowhere on my back.
