 Hi Jon!

ugh, it's icky and wet here. However, DH had the day off, so we did lots of running today. Went out to Amish country and looked at a couple of places that have swingset kits. Our current one is falling apart.

Ok, thats good. At least you made the day useful even with the rain. Did you find a swing set?

I got some feedback from my recruiter. Just early first-thoughts from the Controller at the company.

Basically what he said was I seemed like a very sharp kid. Communicated very well, very pleasant. Seemed very confident, and enthusiastic over the job.

One of the other candidates; at FIRST GLANCE (no decisions made, nothing going on yet) they are leaning towards... but it's simply for experience purposes. Said compared to this other candidate I just seem a little light in experience. Guy has 3 years of US experience (vs my not even 2); but has 10 years of international experience (vs my none).

I mean... honestly...

that's all I can ask for right? There is NOTHING I can do about another candidate being more qualified than I am... I'm only 24 years old. If a 35 year old applies for the same position... that's not my problem...

All I can do is interview the best I can, and it looks like I made a good impression and the guy was very pleased with my interview... I mean his experience vs. mine would make you think I was out altogether in the conversation. The fact that they are slightly leaning towards him; but no decision has been made yet... at the very least is a confident boost for my next interview wherever it may be.

Kid's still got it!

Sounds good, Joe...and you never know, even if they do offer it to this other candidate, that doesn't mean he will accept it. I would be very encouraged if I were you.

Yes....but it will be a while before we can purchase one and have it delivered....we need to have a couple of large trees removed from our back yard, and then clear the area where the swingset would go. So it may not happen until school's almost out. I would like to have it set up before the kids are out of school for the summer. It's really for Joel anyway...Abby has outgrown these things, so we're looking for something simple that will be used over the next 4-5 years.

How mature....NOT.

I'm convinced everytime people lose control w/ words like that, their IQ drops. :brick:

I wanted to build the suspense and get ONE response before I explained...

Director: "Is that Joe over? What the (*) are you still doing here??? Go home. Get out of here.

Joe: "Well, I'm really behind on my cost centers, and I really just want to finish up the showrooms before I leave today and get them sent out."

Director: "No. (*) them. They'll be there in the morning. Go home! Seriously... stop working and go home. Leave now!"

(not really mad... but basically just like... why on EARTH are you still here, GO HOME!!!)

(that was 12 minutes ago... I'm still here)

Oh, stop that. :p

Ughhhh

Just realized... if I wanna get this stuff done and sent out... I'll be here until 8 tonight...

Didn't realize how much work this would take... normally it woulda taken... an hour... but I've been going for 3 already and have at least 2 more hours of work because I'm doing reports for January, and these are all files I created; but I have like... 45 files all linking to one another, with macros to run all the processes... and they all have to be rolled forward and re-linked to each other and other outside sources because it's now 2009... not 2008.

UGHHHHH

(sorry I'm sure no one really cares about the details of my job... hahaha but... wanted to get a quick vent out)

OH MY GOD...

I'M THE BIGGEST IDIOT IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe this...

I've basically wasted... almost 4 hours of work.

As I said above, I'm doing January's report. But we're in March, I should be doing February. I figured since I never did January to do that first... BUT THE DATA ALL TRENDS FORWARD AS IT IS...

So, if I downloaded all the files for February, INSTEAD of January... THEY WOULD HAVE INCLUDED JANUARY... AND I WOULDA BEEN DOING THE EXACT SAME WORK BUT KILLING TWO MONTHS INSTEAD OF ONE...

but I've done 4 hours of work... about... 2 of the 4 hours can be put towards doing February... but the other 2 hours were just wasted...
