Oh, not for the name issue. No matter the name...
Considering that in some circles the name Washington is now considered offensive, combined with the offensive connotations surrounding the word Redskins.
I vote they name the team "them", or maybe even "that team...who's name we don't mention"

Potomac Sunburns. What is the Native American position on the original name, I have a friend full blooded Kiowa and he is not offended at all by Washington Red skins or Atlanta Braves.
Probably many of you know that Washington DC's NFL franchise announced Monday July 13th that for sure the name "Redskins" will be dropped. The new name will be announced whenever they feel ready. TBD. ( I heard on the radio that the name is likely chosen but the team's lawyers have to make sure it is good to go....trademark it...etc.)

Actually, not a complication. The man squatted the names on behalf of the team so no one else could. He's freely releasing any one of them to the team if they want to use it.
While McCauley told CNN that his top choice for the new team name is the Washington Pandas, it's highly unlikely the team would even consider it.

RED WOLVES.....uniform colors can remain the same. Song just needs a little tweaking. "Hail to the Red Wolves!"

Oh, OK. Well, I was just curious. For me the name of a team does not really matter a whole lot. Even if they changed their name to the pink frilly pantaloons I'd probably still watch, at least ocassionally.
