Stunt show and Soarin update

Over at Soarin they have become to install the shell of the building, so soon the ride system will be covered.

Over by the stunt show/ NY street sight they had a sample of the forced prospective seen up for testing.

Thanks again for them - cant wait to see what the soarin` building looks like covered! Since I live in the UK these type of pictures are sooooo nice to follow whats going on in the world.

great pictures one question though right now how is everyone getting around the backlot with it all disassembled like that???
i guess around by star tours or passed sci fi b/c thats the only way around the backlot i can figure out.

I got a backstage look at Soarin' last week, and indeed the exterior shell of the building is going up. The ride system is in place.
I asked what the exterior was going to look like, and all I was told was...different than DCA. Oooooh big news there!
Also, the building is way back there. Closer to Imagination than Land from where I stood. The queue should be quite interesting.

Not only that...but the ride building is a lot higher than I imagined it would be. For this reason, I hope they actually make it an "attractive" building because the skyline of the glass pyramids and the Land will really be ruined if it's not attractive. (AKA...I hope they don't make it a "warehouse" style building and plop trees in the way so you can't see it...because from a distance, you can definitely see this structure.

I'd bet that Soarin will likely be just another box on the Epcot landscape.

Almost all pavilions are nothing but big boxes with nice facades. WoL has large boxes for Body Wars and Carnium Command, but you wouldn't know it from the front. MS is one big box with an elaborate facade.

Imagination and The Land both have large sets of boxes, but their main entrances are themed nicely.

The bottom line: If it doesn't have an entrance onton one of the walkways in Future World, it probably won't be themed.

If Soarin was directly on the walkway between Imagination and The Land, then it would probably look futuristic or like the airplane hangar they have in DCA. Since it's in the back and accessable only through The Land, then it will probably be very plain, but hidden by trees and bushes.

From the work currently going on with the exterior of the structure, it sure looks like it will have some shape to it. In other words, it won't look like RnRC sitting back there.
