As well as the huge gamble known as Pleasure Island.

Yep ... and let's not forget things like both TL and BB, many amazing resorts, bringing world class dining to a Central Fla cowtown, starting DVC and DCL ... and that's just in the theme park business.

He overstayed his welcome, but boy did he do some amazing things for TWDC.

What has Iger done? His biggest move was a no-brainer that any fanboi would have done: Buying Pixar.

Ultimately, something would have had to been done to finish/fix DCA. Both Iger and Eisner would have done something (Iger got the chance).

Yes. Eisner wouldn't have let the place sit and die. He may have even pushed better ideas through (or worse) but we'll never know.

I don't ever envision Iger pushing the envelope which is a big problem.

In fact, he let Pleasure Island die to sell the space to outsiders. Instead of looking at it and thinking of ways to improve the product there, he and his team figured it would be easier to let others do the work. And sadly, an amazing concept and previous huge risk for the company, is left for dead in a place that's a shadow of it's competitor, CityWalk.

~wonders what would Eisner have done with Pleasure Island?~

I don't have MUCH confidence in Bob Iger, but I have plenty in John Lasseter, who is the closest thing to Walt at TWDC today.

Iger put Lasseter where he is.:king:

And I have ZERO confidence in WDW's exec 'leadership' team of today.

Do you get it yet?

I specifically told you "I get it" a few months ago. I'm pretty sure we all get what your saying over and over and over. I think this is tied to your OCD like MK cleanliness fixation. Kinda like that TV show "Monk".:dazzle:

I am happy with the quality of the projects headed for DCA, yes. As for the direction, I would have gone less toony and more California real. But as long as its quality, I'll be happy.

Iger is your man then.:D

No. You don't know it. You state it because you wish it to be true. And since DCA is on a 10-year plan, do you really think WDW guests should be subjected to staleness for years to come before WDI's attention is turned?

Oh but I do know it.:zipit:

I also don't know one major reputable source online who is stating what you say above.

That is too bad. I know of two. :p

I would hate to answer for JT ... 'specially since he never puts words in my mouth.

That said, I sometimes wonder if he isn't a 63-year-old dude named Frank who lives in a trailer in some tumbleweed town in New Mexico and has never set foot in a Disney theme park.

I don't live in New Mexico!!!!!!!!! :lookaroun

Seriously though, I am capable of such a prank :drevil:

And what of FREEDOM Mr. President?

See you all again real soon!

So many tea parties, so little time.
