Any update on the progress of the sign? Have they attached anything to those metal structures yet, or is this going to be one of those things that goes up at the very end, when they are ready to open the tents?

it still looks cheap and fragile...everything else being built looks so much more massive/impressive... this looks like if you look at it the wrong way it's going to come crashing down.

Wow, I get they want people to understand what they are moving towards... but saying 'welcome to the entrance' on the signs? That's just horrible.

Imagine if the Adventureland sign said 'Welcome to the Adventureland entrance bridge"

Clearly it's "Welcome to the Storybook Circus" and "Entrance". Two different things. I can't be the only person who thinks this is apparent from a stylistic (and common sense) approach?

I'm really starting to think people are just looking for things to complain about at this point. Otherwise, I'm a little worried if people actually think the sign is meant to say "Welcome to the Storybook Circus Entrance".

I'm not commenting on the grammar - but the idea that you need to put ENTRANCE so predominately on the sign itself - hence my reference to the Adventureland sign. It's a bit of a crutch when you can't get the message across without literally spelling everything out.

I agree, that's a little odd.

Having said that, last January I had a family come up to me in the Oasis at the Animal Kingdom asking me where the park was.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume that a temporary circus set up in the middle of some small midwestern town's municipal park in the 1920s/30s just might have an entrance sign.

I love the sign, Disney did a really amazing job with the themeing. And I think it looks extremely authentic. If you look at the old timey billboards and signage they have for these types of circuses, they usually throw as many words as they can on to on canvas. I think it adds a little nostalgia and carney feel too it.

I'm going to assume here that WDI did research into this, and found that sign setup to be the traditional way things were done. They typical take a lot of inspiration from the real world, and I think this is the case here.

Exactly this! The sign is thematically appropriate since it's very much like what a traveling circus would setup. The "Entrance" is not saying this is an entrance to a Magic Kingdom land like Adventureland, it's saying it's the entrance to the circus grounds, subtle but important difference. I also like where the posts go into the ground in the planters, it appears they have actually left little mounds of dirt around the base of the posts just like you would have if you drilled a hole in the ground to install the posts.
