Storing Snapshots

Hey everyone. I was wondering what everyone else does in regards to storing your electronic snapshots. Do you put a really large card in your camera or maybe bring your laptop with you or possibly have them burnt to a CD while in the parks? OH and not to forget Photopass. Let me know. :)

Last time we went I just took several cards with us. This time because we are going around Chistmas, I'm taking my laptop and several cards. I want to be able to download them everynight. And in case one card gets filled during the day I will have the another one to pop right in.

4 GB card with some small 32 MB cards if I have an "emergency"

On longer trips, nightly editing of what is on the card (using the camera) can help save space.

Agreed! We also take a 4gb one and a couple of 2gb ones. They are so cheap now, they are worth grabbing up a couple if you can (the 2gb ones that is(.

We've only ever used one big card. I understand the risk's but have never had a problem. We still use Photopass. It does take a while to down load all the pictures we take though.

I mostly use a large card (and have a couple of small ones for backup) and we put them on the computer each night.

WOW. I am actually surprised that no one here mentioned anything about using Disney's service that burns them to CD. Has anyone used it? What did it cost?

Close to $100 if I remember correctly, which is probably why no one mentioned it.

When we were there in 2006 we had a 1GB card in a point & shoot & we offloaded everything in Walgreens half way through our trip as we only had one card. This was surprisingly cheap at about $10. Not sure if it's still as cheap.

Now I have my DSLR I have a 4GB, a 2GB and I plan to buy at least one more 4GB. Plus I'll be bringing my laptop with me to download every couple of days. Just in case! :lookaroun

Dragonrider, you can get much larger capacity cards now for very
little $$. Try a 1 GB or 2 GB card, depending on your camera.
The price has gone way down.

I have a 4 gig card and always bring my laptop and download them every night. I like to catagorize the pics by day, so we remember what we did!

Then when we get home, I burn all the pics to CD and customize the covers to the trip.

This last trip I was so worried about my camera and all the rain from Fay, I didn't carry my camera alot. I still took alot of pics through the whole trip, especially at the resort.

Heading for the great escape.
Id be wary of E bay, i bought two cards that were sold as Sandisk, but they didnt even have the proper country of manufacture. That said they have word fine. But here in the UK I get mine from play.com.

However Im looking to upgrade my camera and it comes with an 8GB card.
