No, most all the empty spaces will not be filled in two-three years.
If that was true, Wonders of Life/Stitch would have been announced last year given how long it takes Disney to actually construct an attraction.
If these spaces where going to be filled in "two-three" years, there would be active construction and we'd know more specifics.
Exactly. Plus the fact that attractions are allowed to sit unused for years in parks with such incredible attendance. I'm not going to be applauding "expansion" just yet.

They posted a video today of ImageWorks! Really cool!
It is! Really neat stuff, it's nice seeing those videos that aren't shakier than an earthquake. Enjoy it while it lasts I suppose :s

Edit: Actually wow, looking at the Imageworks video again you can pretty much nail down what he looks like really easily. Doesn't help it was filmed in the last couple days either.

Either the guy already quit and has held this footage till then.. or REALLY just doesn't give a
The likely hood of him being caught on a security camera, is pretty damn high at this point.
It's actually fascinating to watch it all play out.

Sad that I am most intrigued by the wooden joists, although beefy wooden joists, in a commercial/ride building such as this in Florida. Wonder if it is original?

Yes it is original.
I have been in that location, during the conversion from AE to SGE.

It's a fine line to "remodel" vs structurally change something, which results in having all manor of things brought up to code.

You'd be surprised.. a lot of wooden construction exists in the MK.
A LOT OF IT.

Unless the footage is a year old, it was filmed in the last 4 days. The fact that he actually went in (the modern) Imageworks and took video with other guests around after exploring upstairs is remarkable. You only have 3 days of security footage to go through to find him. I'm guessing he either doesn't care or honestly believes he won't get caught by just deleting EXIF data and hiding some reflections in his videos.

They're great videos and photos, all incredibly valuable stuff, but good god he isn't that bright. There's a half dozen ways they could find out who he is.

That's assuming the same person took the camera into the image works, as the same person who took it into the (Modern) image works. But wow.. were really going full Dick Tracy mode here. Your probably right, I'm assuming whoever it is just doesn't care. I'd love to place bets on which dept said person works for though. There are only, 3 possible ones that come to mind (outside of 3rd party contractors such as electrical / BVCC)

Well, that's what we've been talking about. Unused space. That points to "getting less and less." But, when we look at how the unused space is slated for a new attraction, and how there are other attractions being put in place that are expanding the parks' footprint adding to the total number of attractions, then the claim "We're getting less and less" isn't true.

Exactly. To put it in perspective, NFL was sold as an expansion, but it actually replaced some lost capacity the MK had in the ‘90s; and it didn’t even meet the previous numbers!

Almost everything currently under construction is truly new capacity, and anything that’s a replacement is more exciting than the previous occupants had become. I hate seeing the massive GOTG showbuilding, but UOE hadn’t met its potential in 20 years. The Backlot Tour was useless after production stopped at the Studios. The only exception is LMA, which was still popular when Disney decided to close it.
