I don't think Stitch vanishing from the parks will be possible. Especially since Lilo and Stitch (Mainly Stitch) is very popular in Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan.
God bless the OLC. While I've never been, its well known that they maintain the Disney name better than Disney does now. Disney should just sell its other resorts to them so this madness can be stopped once and for all.

Why is that baffling, have you never seen the line outside of that attraction, have you never seen the excited, smiling faces of children getting their first taste of adulthood by driving a car at breakneck speeds of 4 MPH? Reach down deep inside and see if you can make contact with your inner child. That will tell you why. For children, driving is their tomorrow. Adults tend to forget that. Take away the speedway and you have taken away the potential lasting childhood memories for kids. The same kids that will bring their own children back and ride with them on their first grown up adventure. I know, I have seen it from riding with my own children to watching them ride it with their children. It's a gift that keeps on giving.

My daughter likes it as well and we have fun on it but it needs a major overhaul or retheming if not something totally new

Yes yes it should, Then Iger can concentrate on Movies and TV and the rest of us can go back to enjoying a first class park experience.

I would support changing to electric as long a realistic car sounds can be maintained. That is part of the overall fun for kids. Otherwise, leave it alone and let the kids have memories because not only is Disney not just for kids... it's not just for grownups either.

I'm still amazed by how perfect the Tokyo version of the Pooh ride is. It really feels like you're inside the world of Winnie The Pooh and the Sinbad ride at sea.

The irony in that is that TDR and TDS are NOT OWNED BY DISNEY, It's truly pathetic that the BEST Disney parks are not owned by Disney.
I'm still amazed by how much stuff is going on at Tokyo throughout the year. Seasonal parades, a nighttime parade that is run during the days when it's rainy or to wet and an electrical parade that updates every few years. They even have a Christmas edition to said electrical parade during the Christmas seasons.

While everything is 'Too Expensive' in Orlando which is one of the cheapest cities in the world, OLC manages to do all this in one of the top 5 most expensive cities in the world and still only charge 2/3's of Orlando's price AND make a bigger profit at the same time. Makes one go Hmmmm.

There is no point in NOT having a proper car sound for the speedway - with an electric the kids could even choose the sound from a Ferrari to a Diesel Truck (my personal favorite)

Heck there is a move afoot to make Hybrid cars generate a synthetic engine sound so that pedestrians are aware of them.

A kid went mental in Stitch just last week. The dark and kids simply don't mix. (So make kids seasonal....)

Stitch is not a good attraction, but not the worst thing in WDW either. Or even in the MK. Cant say I'm excited about a WIR attraction in TL. Mission: Space wouldve been great here.

Can't say I agree on Stitch (well...I guess it's fine up until the dark, chili dogs, and Stitch T-P-ing the castle) but wow, M:S would be perfect as one of those sideshow attractions while you're walking into Tomorrowland. When you think about it, the only drawback of Mission Space is that you expect more from it, since it occupies an entire pavilion and replaced Horizons.

That's the point.

It closes in January.
Finally. Time to do the dance of joy.

while Stitch needs to go... I'm still baffled the Tomorrowland Speedway is still as is taking up a huge amount of space, running with smelly gasoline engine go carts, and with little to no theming and definitely without any "Tomorrow"land feel at all.

so many possibilities there, especially with it kinda being the attraction connecting with Fantasyland...you could go that direction (ex. Candy Crush, Cars, etc.) or demo it and built 2 attractions
We all know IF Disney was to ever remove this attraction 2 will not go in its place, all that land needs to be underutilized remember? LOL. I have no optimism for this attraction, they could have gotten away with a cars overlay a while back. Alas Disney may have some tricks up it sleeve.

YodaMan and Rob562 hinted at this as well. With the open, close, open, close, open, close approach, how will they do much until it completely closes for the changeover? (perhaps begin fumigation to attempt to remove the chilidog aroma) Looking to see if one side is walled off will be a good indicator.
Honestly and unfortunately I believe its just going to sit there. It wouldn't be the first time an attraction has sat around doing nothing. IE: 20k Leagues Under the Sea, Studio Backlot tour......
