Bill, there's no way any website would want to join with yours...as mergers have mutual benefit...what is steve going to gain? Your 10 regular members?

I laugh how the AE loyalists are looking for anything wrong with this already. The AA is obviously not finished, and they're calling it cheap without even seeing it in action.

Hyprocicy at its finest.

and of course he'd come driving in a dropped and chopped '69 impala with gold rims and hydraulics :D

(Fievel...I agree...some people just don't like change...and don't want to give anything a shot before they automatically DON'T LIKE IT)

EDIT: This picture shows that this animatronic is the best thing ever invented. I cannot wait until this attraction opens up.

OK, then. What is he supposed to look like? Be all plasticy and stuff and I can't spell plasticy but be quiet.

anyway, He's not a muppet and that's what he is supposed to look like.

I do have one extremely good thing to say about the animatronic though. I'm VERY glad Disney is not taking an easy way out and they are actually making him look like "Experiment 626". They could've very easily made him look very cute and actually make him like "Stitch". Good too see that they are keeping the attraction in proper theme.

Oh come on, I cant believe some of you are criticising a static shot of an animatronic! Remember that this photo is deliberately masking the animatronic, by using depth of field to show it out of focus, with the Imagineer in the foreground.

Lets wait an see this thing in motion as intended before saying its "cheap". I have very high confidence that this animatronic is going to be very very impressive.

Haven't you guys ever seen a picture of an animatronic figure like from PoC or SE or Horizions- they all look "fake" or "plasticy". You can't judge the completed fully animated character off of one pic like that. His size is also not a factor because its all relative to his surroundings-using forced perspective he could be made to llok bigger.I think the pic is cool-

I AGREE!!!

I loved AE, was really upset when it closed down, and I heard that it would be replaced with Stitch of all things....but nothing is going to change what happened...I've built a bridge, and I'm over it....

I'm waiting to see what WDI does with this new attraction, one of the first things I noticed from the picture, is that you really can't truly see the animatronic...like Steve said, and some made mention in previous posts....

Lets wait 'til we go on this attraction to rate it. I have a feeling from everything I've read, that Stitch will possibly be better than AE...but again...I await the experience...

:)

Very True. If you pulled any AA character out of their setting and put them in a black background they all would look fake too. I believe the two things that will make "Experiment 626" come alive is the set and lighting. Just like any show.

.

I agree...and to tell you the truth...

The alien in Alien Encounter was probably the only animatronic to look better static than it did when it was moving

That animatronic stunk! (I do agree that S.I.R. was fantastic though).

I can't wait to see this show! I wish there could be a soft opening at the end of June when I'm there (I still have my fingers crossed!) I think the Stitch figure looks great and I'm even looking forward to being bombarded by Stitch in gift shops! But don't worry, I'm sure that will wear off as soon as I actually start seeing multiple Stitches in gift shops!!

Like I said before it WILL look better in person than it does in this picture (At least I hope so).

If I remember correctly, Stitch was "cute and fluffy" in the movie :animwink:

I think we should have a little movie of the AA in motion, that would be nice *hint hint*

Yep you're right on that one. I do believe that the Alien AA was supposed to be kinda cheesy though wasn't it? See I thought that it was created to be a "horror comedy" type attraction, much like the Scream movies. They were sort of scary on their own terms but they were still spoofing horror films and were quite funny.

I fully apologize. I have corrected all of my previous posts. Bring on the Stitch-inator!

Yeah. But AA tech for pirates at WDW is around 1975, and tech for Horizons is around 1984.

It is now 2004. And there is a lot of new materials that really look like skin and fur. Infact, if Disney were to Hire a former imagineer, the AAs could have full expressionson their faces and be perfectly sycronized to their voices... But that doesn't have to due with material.

look fake or plasticy? well, i guess i agree with those who say it does look fake and plasticy, probaly because it IS FAKE AND PLASTICY!

but i agree wiwth lamavenoy, dont judge it before youve seen it, otherwise id like to be the first to say that Expedition Everest looks really unsafe, has no themeing and seems to be too short of a ride.

people, this thing is going to be awesome. stop complaining.
