Of course, I've always seen the show as a black comedy, spoof type show anyways.

Absolutley. Especially with Clench`s storyline and all the videoscreen one liners. Priceless....

Actually, unfortunately I do. My wife and I appear to be one of the only parents in our community that haven't let their 5 year old watch this crap. Maybe we are alone, but we wish Disney had never made that movie.

That's unfair, don't bash the movie just because they are pimpin the heck out of it, Lilo and Stitch is arguably one of the best Disney movies ever and certainly is one of if not the most unique and creative of them all. Don't just the movie just because the character is all over the place.

Yep. I love one liners and AE had it's fair share that's for sure.

"Something you ate, sir?"
"You're not burned, you've just got a healthy glow"
"Profit is simply a byproduct we've learned to live with"
"I can see the problem. Oh boy"
"No. We're just screaming for the fun of it"
"Who's brain is this?"
"It's my mother in law"
"My mouth was open"

I could go all day

LOL! I assure you I am not bashing it because it is all over the place. I am bashing it because I abhor "children's" movies where the main character is a disgusting pig with bad manners. Such that all you see in gatherings of 5 and 6 year olds is a bunch of Stitch wannabes who try to outdo each other with loud belches and other rude behavior.

Lilo and Stitch should have been a Warner Brothers cartoon.

One of the best movies Disney ever made? I know thats your opinion but I never heard that one before. IMO hard to put that movie up against Bambi,Dumbo,Peter Pan, Cinderella, Snow White,Lion King....etc.

Yes, it was one of their better movies in the last ten years ( non Pixar ) but I still think that it is hard to compare it to the classics.

Yea, I agree. I dont think you could compare it to the good ol' Disney Movies like cinderella, snow white, etc. IMO, i dont think that the movie was something to talk about. All in all, it was OK.

Is it really a surprise that this pathetic excuse for an AE replacement is breaking down already? This ride is a craptacular display of what Eisner has done to the Disney parks. Using as little money and creativity as possible to try and get by. Sorry but it isn't fooling anyone. I hope they burn this attraction and start from scratch....

Um... SGE is not Eisner's fault. It's the fault of the people who cut the budgets of SGE.

Besides, he was the one who wanted it fixed, so don't blame him.

I think the current system at WDI is partly due to Mr. Eisner. He is in charge, and as Chief Executive Officer, he can make decisions on management. Current management at WDI is horrible, where the focus is creating the cheapest - not necessarily the best - attraction, and that bad management style will soon be reflected on the layoff of talent. Unfortunately, the situation may not be improving.

Hence, we need a CEO who will be willing to allow creativity to flourish in the company's divisions, especially WDI. . .

Uh so you're saying Eisner had nothing to do with these supposed "people" who cut the budget for the attraction? Get real....
*BTW: I know you're the one who just left a negative point for that post! Get a life. I'm starting to think you actually are that pathetic money monger....

ImaginEAR - Michael Eisner IS the person who greenlighted SGE. He PERSONALLY says yes or no to every major park development. In the past he is the man who ordered Alien Encounter version 1 closed and made more scary. He is the man who sent the Disneyworld is your World stage show back to the drawing board for lacking dynamics. To mention just 2 Tomorrowland attractions he has wanted improved when he used to worry about good show.

Basically the buck ultimatley stops at Eisner. DCA`s ToT will be a lasting tribute to him (not to mention DCA as a whole) since he personally cut the R&D budget and construction plans. Its no secret he was not happy after his first ride, and senior WDI staff couldn`t help but say (not directly to him, obviously) it`s all your fault.

It doesn't have to go agaisnt all the classics but it can certainly be considered one of Disney's gems it's a lot better than Alice in Wonderland and storywise, it's better than Sleeping Beauty...I stand by my opinion Lilo and Stitch is a great movieand all of youa re just blinded by the fact that you want Disney to always be this cookie-cutter image of perfect princesses and funny little musicals you can't take that a character like Stitch is actually liked by people. I'll even go on to say that Lilo and Stitch was Disney animation's last hit.

I agree. Stitch is hated much more on these boards than he deserves. Yeah, Disney is pumping him a whole lot, but like I've said before, the things Stitch is doing match his personality. The TP'ed castle on opening day was hilarious I thought. I think the decals everywhere on monorails, etc might be a bit much, but it's him. Stitch's personality.

I also think that if SGE was a whole lot better and lived up to everbody's (undeservingly) high expectations, people would be so ed off. Sure, there are story holes, but I think that for what they were trying to do (make an AE version that was a bit more kid friendly), SGE does it well. I didn't think it was that bad.

stitchcastle: I saw your sig and I was like "OOohh...Fantasmic!" I've been listening to the soundtrack for the last 5 days straight. I love that show!!

Why thank you. I think only the minority of people on these boards still look at Eisner as the next best next to Walt. I`ve said it before, but since Frank Wells left us its been a slow downward spiral.

PS - Sing it sista was a phrase right? I`m male!
