And the dinosaur animatronics in the Jurassic Park River Adventure do it as well....Static-X said:Wow. Something the camels in Aladin's parade at MGM did long before Stich ever came along.

Not sure how long they've been there, but they're inside the building after the lift. There are two of them (one on each side of the boat). I'm not sure of the type of dinos they are, but they're the ones that Wayne Knight encounters in the first Jurassic Park film (the one that spits the stuff in his face when he's trying to get out of JP).Static-X said:Did Universal implement that before or after October 99? The few times I've been on JP I do not remember any spitting dino's.![]()

I agree a couple of times that I have been on the attraction I just sit there and just stare at the cannons, I find them so facinating.wdwmagic said:The whole attraction isnt complicated as a whole, but those individual AAs are unbelievably complex. The movement they have is just amazing. They really are stunning. A joy for any AA fan to see![]()

Welcome back BTW!!!!

Dr Albert Falls said:I decided to give Stitch's Great Escape another try this weekend, and was amazed to see the attraction is already broken!
Most unbelievable--- one of the two laser cannons was frozen! It didn't move throughout the entire show! Also, it appears that the corresponding visual effects automatically shut off if the cannon is inoperable, because only half of the room was "blowing up" with laser hits (usually red light, smoke and water spray from certain seats when it they are "hit" by the laser). So when one laser cannon breaks, you lose the visuals above, as well as the in-theater effects below.
Also, the timing of the lights are now out-of-sync (and I don't think it's because of this rumored "rehab" to make it less frightning. The attraction is still pretty dark). During the most critical moment of the show, when Stitch ESCAPES, the room lights are ON. So you see the Stitch animatronic get sucked down into the tube-- totally ruining the impression that he leaped from the tube and is running loose through the theater.
Also, at least on my seat, I failed to get "spit" on. And I could not feel the chili dog breath down my neck (I think I smelled it from the neighboring seat). Oh yeah, and just as the chili dog sequence begins, you could hear half the room "ewwwwww" ing long before the burp--- which means the scent was probably being released too early (my side of the room appeared to have the burp and scent timed OK)
SpenceMan01 said:We were there on Monday Jan. 10th. The everything on the right side seemed to be functioning properly. Stupid me leaned forward the whole time and missed out on all the 3D sounds. There was also a mentally hanicapped lady who was obviously scared but her family dragged her on it anyway (but that's a whole 'nother story). I wanted to go again to get the "full affect", so later in the day we returned.
We were ushered into the left theater this time and immediately after getting seated I noticed on of the black tubes was broken on the gun on the left side (as you enter the theater). I was disappointed to see it in such disrepair so soon after opening. I was even more disappointed when it stayed off during the whole show. Stitch still interacted with the non-existant gun, which sucked.
I leaned back this time and was treated to all of the audio, and I even noticed that when he jumps off the pedestal in the center, he landed with a 'thump' in the row behind us. Very cool. What's Stitch supposed to be doing when you get the air sprayed on your head...ruffling your hair? eating your head?
Anyway, I thought Stitch was a pretty cool experience. With all the trash talking done on here, I was expecting it to be really horrible, but in all actuality, it wasn't bad. Sure, the storyline needs to be redone a bit for the ending, but all in all I kinda liked it. They did a good job for what they had and were attempting to do.
