Steven Tyler No Longer "Loves" That Idea, He Only "Likes" It

Was the "Chris" spot an actual position on the load CM rotation or did it just share duties with another spot in queue management?
I'm pretty sure it was in the rotation somehow. Haven't seen it since 1999/2000. Honestly it was more awkward than anything, even though it seemed like a cool idea. No way it was staying if they could cut or stick that CM elsewhere, especially since they had the alternate video ready.

However that may be, a live CM was part of a larger DHS style that relied heavily on live interaction - in attractions, ride guides, on the boulevards, in the Backlot and Animaton tous, in being lI've show heavy. Live CM interactIon was a signature style of the park, adding to its identity and distinctness from the other parks.

Such details got sadly lost on later management and even designers.

Perhaps it was treated as the "break" position for that rotation. Assuming the CMs were bringing their lunch from home, they would still have more than enough time to sit down and relax doing that for 30 minutes or whatever.

And this will lead to many shenanigans on my next trip, thanks.
To be fair I may have that backwards, it may be the auto-download to wristband that was not censored and the view the pic and scan your wristband at ride's end that was. But the concept is the same - a photo they thought required editing was edited in one method of receipt but not the other. If it's not going to be seen on a large screen by the general public they may care less.

I'm sorry, but there's no way Disney could afford to keep an employee there. Not at Disney CM wages, which run up to $8/h.

It was removed in late 2000- the issue was that the only entrance/exit into the 'studio' was going around the projector which was deamed to hazardous with no additional exits as well as it was a rather tight fit for anyone mid to larger size...

Thanks. It's anecdotes like these that make me sift through so many pages of so many threads. Always something interesting to learn.

I swear I saw someone do it just a few years ago - I want to say 2014? Never saw it before or since. I only remember because I was genuinely surprised, I always thought the line was dumb. Didn't realize "Chris" was actually supposed to be in there.
