I've never seen where early hours increased park attendance as not that many people do them. However, evening extra hours do make for a much more crowded park. People sleep in and come for late hours. Additionally, when the other parks close, people head to the late hours parks-- particularly MK and EPCOT.Some people say they avoid morning EMH - that the crowds are too large then. I think they come in at the regular opening times. Not sure why they think the crowds reduce at the regular opening time. Does anyone here avoid morning EMH purposely (as opposed to just wanting to sleep later)?
Maybe what they meant is they avoid parks which have morning EMH all day, which is I think part of how TouringPlans.com calculates crowd levels. They say to avoid parks with morning EMH.
Of course, time of year can be a factor too.
What are your thoughts on morning EMH for the different parks for October (not Columbus Day week)? Maybe it's only MK and Epcot that get very crowded because of EMH?
Footnote: I've pretty much scheduled which parks we'll visit each day according to TouringPlans crowd levels, going for the Best Parks each day as much as possible. Even though this is a low volume time, I'm hoping those low crowd levels of 1 or 2 will be nice and uncrowded. Of course we can mix it up a bit if we really want to go to a certain park one day - I don't think the predicted crowd levels for any of the parks get above a 6 during the week we're there, except maybe Epcot on the weekends because of F&W.

Transportation is my favorite perk. The fact I don't need to drive for up to two weeks and the local bus being free is huge for me. If I was staying off site I'd have to rely on shuttles (sometimes free but not always) with their very bad schedule and very few options or even worst, having to rent a car and pay for parking. With Disney transport I can come and go as I please knowing there'll be another bus in a matter of minutes and not parking fees.
No effort at all! Since my mom needed breaks during the day, we always made our way to the resort for an afternoon nap. Getting to and from was a breeze, we did this for both EPCOT and MK every day we visited those parks and never had to wait more than 8 minutes tops during the afternoon. We decided to not take those breaks for AK since it closes early.Do you find you're able to easily take the bus back to POFQ for a while, then head back to a park again? Or does it take up too much time/effort with the buses?
Eh...No..If they got rid of the EMH, wouldn't that make getting into the parks at 9 a.m. even more crowded, and therefore people would be less happier at the Happiest Place on Earth?

Yeh...I know..I live there...It stinks..There is a world outside Disney?

We usually left the park around 2-3pm and went back after nightfall. This also helped a lot with crowd management, even during Mardi Gras/President Week we never got waits bigger than 20 minutes.
I'd say our total bus time was around 25-30 minutes both ways between waiting/riding. I never timed but the ride to and from POFQ is no longer than 10 minutes to any of the parks.
Shock!..Horror!..I hope this is not true..But today ( on here ) I read a rumour ( only a rumour ) that early magic hours for Onsite guests might be a thing of the past..Now I know everyone has their favourite perks that Disney give to us bubble people ( I like that..The Bubble people ) But what one perk,if Disney were to do away with, would make you stay outside the bubble..?...Now let me say here I love the feeling of total immersion staying Onsite, but I don't consider it a perk..To me that comes with the big price tag of your resort bill..For me getting up at dawn and arriving at a park before outside guests arrive is awesome.Even in July, Ive footage of us walking in front of Cinderella's castle with hardly anyone in sight..So if Disney decided to abolish this perk,I would definitely stay outside..Which perk,if any, would make you move outside the bubble,if Disney decide to stop it.?
We actually avoid the EMH parks because I feel that the park with it is more crowded in the AM. We do one of the others for rope drop and have never had any issues. Some people say they avoid morning EMH - that the crowds are too large then. I think they come in at the regular opening times. That explains.....There must be hundreds of people like yourself avoiding the EMH parks. Because when we hit the EMH park,it's empty..Everybody else must be at the other parks..Ive got video footage of us walking around HS first thing at rope drop and it's so quiet, that's in July by the way..Same at MK..Filming at Cinderella's castle and there's lucky if there's twenty or so people in my shot of the castle..Long may this continue..Stay away from the EMH park folks..Go to another..It's not worth the hassle....We actually avoid the EMH parks because I feel that the park with it is more crowded in the AM. Agree...the earliest we get to the parks is around 10 so early wouldn't matter to us. Late, we definitely do that!!That explains.....There must be hundreds of people like yourself avoiding the EMH parks.
