Staying at EPCOT area resorts

I'm one of those annoying people that get stuck on something and don't like to change and stayed at the Polynesian so many times I lost count - I really like being on the monorail.

Lately we've decided to branch out and we are staying at the Beach Club and I do like the idea of walking to EPCOT.

But here's a stupid question. Is there any way to take the monorail to and from the MK when EPCOT is closed? Is there some kind of path I'm not aware of that will get me around EPCOT to the monorail station?

That would be nice, but I've never heard of anything like it. Thanks in advance. I'm just a lazy person trying to avoid the bus.:)

You know you can still walk through the back entrance when WS is not open as long as Epcot itself is open.

Oh yeah, I forgot it was open to a certain point! I guess that point is International Gateway - Thanks for reminding me! But probably not before 9:00 am, if I were trying to get to EMH at MK - what do you think?

Will they let you through after 9:00 PM too? That would be great!

Not a shot after closing. Plus take into account that it is a DARN long walk from Beach Club, through World Showcase, through Future World, out the front gate and up the ramp to the monorail no??? Id personally take the bus, instead of doing all of that. I havent had any issues taking the bus to or from Beach Club. Certain routes definitely do make multiple stops in this area such as the Boardwalk, Yacht, Beach, Swan, Dolphin etc. Perhaps someone in transportation can elaborate on the exact routes but I know I have had those stops usually coming from Animal Kingdom. To be perfectly honest for a few destinations I'll probably take a cab. To the MK, I'll do the bus, but to AKL for dinner at Jiko - cab. And to DTD if we want to go to a movie - cab.

Oh and let us not forget the EPCOT monorail desnt go directly to MK either. You would have to get off and transfer at the TTC for the MK Monorail. Definitely not worth the time or effort for me personally. I agree about the cab to/ from Jiko. Id use the bus system for DTD as it is just one bus to go there, meaning i wouldnt have to get off, transfer and get on a second bus. Belle

LOL I wonder why I hate the buses so much?

I really love walking when I'm at WDW - I always lose weight! One thing that is so great about the EPCOT resorts is the walk to EPCOT and the Studios.

Thank you all for the info -- I just thought there might be some little known secret that I hadn't yet discovered. Always fun when something like that turns up!:)

Hmmm, that gives me an idea for a thread!!:D

Take the bus. We have stayed at BCV at least 10 times. The walk to EPCOT/World Showcase International Gateway is about 5-10 minutes but they do not let you in before the park officially opens. We found the bus system to be better at BCV than Saratoga Springs so you should not have a problem. Once the park is open you can take the monorail to and from MK but have to walk through EPCOT.

Lately when we go for a week or longer, we split half the time staying at the BC and go to EPCOT and MGM, and then move to WL for the 2nd half so we can do MK. You might want to consider doing the same.
