Hi all!

My DH and I had a fun conversation last night about trying to stay at all the resorts. So far, we have stayed at:

Wilderness Lodge
Grand Floridian (x3)
Yacht Club
Pop (just me)
Port Orleans Riverside (in 3 weeks)

and at Disneyland

Disneyland Hotel (just me)

Has anyone stayed at all of them? Which ones have you stayed at?

We have been visiting since there were only two choices and the DTD resorts. A lot has changed over the past 25 years! Probably will never stay at all of them, but here is where we have stayed.

BLT
Beach Club
Contemporary
Disney Institute: yeah who remembers this one lol
Grand Flordian
Old Key West
Polynesian
Saratoga Springs
Yacht Club

I haven't stayed at too many different ones. When we go we basically just use the room to shower and sleep so we've never seen the sense in staying at one of the more expensive resorts. So, I've stayed at (not sure how many times at each one):

All Star Movies
All Star Music
POP Century

we're planning our 2nd trip of the year... I can't believe the differences in prices between resorts. We absolutely love the BC and have stayed there our last two trips (engagement trip and disneymoon) but since this is our 2nd trip of the year (taking advantage of our AP) we have to make some tough decisions.

We are traveling down in March with another couple, great friends of ours. We figured since we'd be sharing a room that the BC would be no problem. Guess again, for 7 nights we were quoted at 4300 for the BC. Compared to POFQ at just over 2 grand. I mean, I love the BC and the true LUXURY of being able to walk to Epcot but 2200 dollar difference made me fall to the floor. Pop was quoted at 1400 for the stay, unsure if we're willing to drop to the value but I can't believe the difference in rack rate.

We have stayed at:

All Star Sports (1 time)
All Star Music (1 time)
All Star Movies (2 times)
Wildnerness Lodge (1 time)
Villas at the Wilderness Lodge (1 time)

Next month we will be returning to All Star Sports and in May hopefully All Star Music. Next September we are planning on the Polynesian and next November hopefully the Boardwalk villas.

I've been 7 times...soon to be 8

CBR - 3
POP - 4
POFQ - soon to be 1

The CBR trips were with my parents and found that we loved the resort and were too scared to try our luck at another place. Pop trips were with my fiance and I was in college and he was(is) in med school so the price was right on that one!

Since I've since graduated and started working we can look at somewhere nicer like POFQ. Though I'm dying to stay at Art of Animation so maybe that will be our next trip!

I totally understand this! We had book poly at about 5K and then just over 2K for POR. We knew we couldn't swing Poly this year so we are doing POR. I know we could save even more if we went with Value but my one value experience was not great. Have a great trip! We have never traveled to the world with friends before and I think it would be so fun! Especially if they are new to the WDW thing!

I really appreciate when someone says that they want every trip to be a unique experience. Many people will try to recreate memories by doing everything the same every trip, stay at the same place, eat at the same restaurants and go to the same attractions in the same order. By doing different stuff, you make new memories. That's awesome.
Thanks! I agree with you 100%!!! Its all about making new memories!!!! There is so much to see and do at WDW! I want to do it all! :)

They aren't new... but have definitely not done WDW with a self-claimed pro. It's a different experience!

We have never stayed in a Deluxe Hotel. The closest would be Coronado Springs in the newly renovated rooms back in 2010. They might as well have been Deluxe though, but I find it a little more enjoyable at the Value Resorts. Prices are better and we only sleep there. Usually we eat out, so maybe if we used all the amenities at the hotel we would feel different. Point being dont think the deluxe is worth the price unless you use the hotel.

I do know for our next vacation we are looking at AoA, or PO.

During Christmas if we go we might go stay at a Deluxe but we wont be visiting many parks.

When are you going in March???? Me and the Fiance are going Easter weekend into the first week of April (for my birthday!) Rack rates are insane...but I expected it since it is Spring Break time. We'll be staying at AoA. I think the values are awesome...but then again I've never had the luxury to stay in a Deluxe :( except the Contemporary but that was only because Shades of Green was full (my uncle used to be in the Navy) so they put us up in the Contemporary which was awesome. We've recently went up in the world to Moderates (Port Orleans) and you will really like it! Big upgrade from a value. Definitely worth it. You will not be disappointed with POFQ (me and my mum are staying there again in Nov) and we're trying Riverside for the first time next month.

March 18 to the 25. In all honesty, I only like deluxe at BC because I can walk to and from epcot
