I've seen recently that the new start date for the nemo ride is now 12-10-06 and the stage show at AK is starting 12-31-06. Anyone hear anything different, I was hoping to go to these two when I'm there oct 19- Nov 5th.
If these dates are correct I guess I'll be planning another trip soon.

I was hoping to see these open a little bit early, as well, for my Sept trip, but I don't think that I'll get that lucky. Oh, well, I'll have to catch it in Jan:wave:

That's quite a bit later than what I've been hearing.
The new theatre still has quite a bit of work to do, but the ride is cycling regularly...it should be ready in 6-8 weeks.

I heard the AK show will have a soft opening 11-12-06 and I thought I heard an earlier opening for the Seas (late OCT/ Nov) I can't for the life of me figure out where I heard it, probably a post here. I hope it's EARLY Nov, my kid loves Nemo and if they have huge pics/ sculptures, he will have a fit not being able to go on it. (3 yo). If AK opens 11-12, I think I am calling out sick, that is the day we leave WDW.

I seem to recall the most recent Mickey Monitor saying something about a early October opening for the Epcot ride. correct me if I'm wrong, but I was pretty sure of this. I really hope that it is because I think that I'm gonna there around that time for MNSSHP

"Finding Nemo the Musical" will be open no later than 11/12. And I would figure there will be a chance to get in even earlier.

:lookaroun But you didn't hear it from me...

For partly selfish reasons, I find those dates hard to believe. Most info has shown mid to late Nov start dates, which is typical for Disney. They like to target times to start before the Christmas holidays so those attractions are ready to go. The obvious exceptions are for Midway Madness and Laughing Floor, but they'll be ready by next year's holidays.

I would stick with the November dates.

Would you say 6-8 weeks till the actual "opening date", or 6-8 till soft opening?

In the audition call that Disney had on their auditions website a while ago they stated that previews would start on the 12th of Nov. for the Finding Nemo Musical. If I memeber right someone posted the information in another thread. If you do a search for the thread I'm sure you would be able to find it.

I believe those are the opening dates. The soft opening should be November. Previews in October.

Actually, I'm kinda excited about the show at Animal Kingdom. For one, a show with ORIGINAL music will be interesting. Any time Disney creates original songs, I'm in.

Also, Animal Kingdom could use another good show--especially since Tarzan Rocks was so bland and generic.

Anyone know if they've already put out the call for CM's for the Epcot attraction? I'm trying to think backwards from day 1 of soft opening. You need, what... A couple weeks of interviews and hiring, maybe a week and a half of training? I'm guessing, of course. I'm just trying to do the math of how long from the day they start interviewing till that first crew is trained and able to handle a soft open.

Anyone?
