Oooo, I need to tell y'all about the dessert I had last night.

Before the recital, we went out for dinner. The portion sizes they served there were HUGE! My calzone was the biggest I've ever seen. My friends and I all ordered the brownie for ourselves...we didn't want to share. Big mistake because when it came out we all wished we ordered two to share between us. OMG it reminded me of the Kitchen Sink (only not as huge). But this thing was massive. There were two large slices of brownie, chocolate and carmel syrup loaded onto the plate, strawberries, whipped cream everywhere, and three scoops of ice cream (one chocolate and two vanilla). Oy. I ate both brownies and some chocolate ice cream. And this was after eating a good portion of my calzone. Never in my life had I felt that full. :dazzle:

I feel stuffed just reading about it!
It sounds soooo yummy!
But I don't understand why restaurants have to serve such humungous portions. We went to Olive Garden recently, for the first time in years, and were really happy with the amount of food on our plates. It was just enough and nothing went to waste. Sometimes, we take home enough leftovers from restaurants for both of us to eat two more times! :dazzle: That's fine...if you're going straight home from the restaurant. If not, that's such a waste of food!

WHF is doing wonderful at work. He takes it one day at a time. His boss is out right now. We think there was some sort of medical emergency.

We think he's doing well though.

I completely agree.

I love big portions because I'll take some home and eat it the next day. I love doing that. Small portions annoy me, especially when it comes to dessert. When we went to Napa Rose, the chocolate pate was the smallest thing I've ever seen. We all looked at each other and was like, "that's it?" :veryconfu

Although, big portions are a problem because I have zero self control and will eat like there's no tomorrow (as you can see in the brownie story).
