Eh, I agree with whoever said it on page 2 (I think), It's all about corporate money now days. Coca Cola Refreshment Stations, Kodak Picture Spot, Wishes presented by Pandora.

One of the first rules of financing, marketing, and product placement: Why spend your money when you can spend that of someone else?
Yep.

The Carnation Ice Cream Parlor, Sunkist Citrus House, Wurlitzer Music Hall.

Oh...wait...that's Disneyland's Main Street in 1955. Whoops...

I like the coffee better now this it is a SB. I liked the pastries better at the old MSB. If they would've let me open my Dunkin' Donuts coffee, Krispy Kreme donut shop there would be no debate about what would be the most popular store in the history of mankind.

Lol! Well said! I would change the donut shop though to a local one we have here where I live that blows Krspy Kreme out the water!! We even drove out KRispy Kreme after not even a year because the local one and their locations took all the business! That's how good our donuts are! Yummy! :)

LOL at people thinking Starbucks has great "baked goods." Everything they sell comes out of a bag.

The lackluster junk Starbucks sells could easily be matched by any vendor WDW uses for pre-packaged baked stuff. Main Street Bakery actually did bake some things in house too.

For what it's worth, Starbucks isn't even great coffee...overpriced by almost any measure and not Disney at all. At least Coke is good.

Alright, not really seeing the argument some people are trying to make. Why are we stuck on, "But Starbucks Coffee is better"...blah blah?

Honestly, there are TONS of restaurants better than the offerings in WDW, but where does it stop? How about just contracting with outside resturants and have a chain inside WDW? Instead of Liberty Tree Tavern, how about Bob's Steak and Chop, 3 Forks, or Fogo De Chao?

Arguing that it tastes better is just silly and really not the point. For many of us, it ruins the "Magic" to feel like you're in the outside world. Simple.

If the argument is that the food, coffee, stores, and candy all taste bad, we should be arguing improving that within the confines of WDW...not just bringing in retail to fix the issues.

I don't know why everyone goes crazy for disney baked goods, they are usually dry with no flavour except the taste of sugar.the new starbuck's locations give us a great option for breakfast in the parks.we order breakfast sandwiches instead of a lump of sugar and walk up to the noodle station and enjoy our breakfast with a great view of the park.
I totally agree! That bakery had sugary junk, and now that it's a Starbucks they actually have good stuff that I like. We always get breakfast there.
