Starbucks among other new vendors at Disney

At the risk that you just want to argue, at any rate, from 1971 when it was a Sara Led it was never 'homemade" baked goods. Trust me or not as you will, but having been to Disney to see the food handling/dietary software and systems to evaluate them for my hospital's use (they are third party by the way), I can tell you without any doubt that they were not homemade goods. Give it up, nothing has really changed since 1971 regardless of what you want to believe.
so the next time you go to the MKB let me know when you see a bake good that Starbucks serves come out of an oven in front of your eyes. Oh and I guess they package them in little plastics bags also?
So I can tell you for twice a years for the last 12 years I visited the bakery and had baked goods that I saw come out of the ovens there. As a matter of fact I know someone who purchased some of the ovens when they were removed. OK so I see that you hold Starbucks stock and love they landed Disney so you can make some more money but its not a good move for Disney to lose a quality unique touch on Main Street USA.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Gastons Sticky buns are not fresh made and hot like theMSB. I've had them they are average and micrwaved to be made warm. ITS ALL ABOUT QUALITY
Yeah they are nothing like the ones we had to have every trip from MSB! I have been saying that since the beginning. Gaston's are dry, cold, different icing and taste overall. Sad replacement to the steaming hot, moist, yummy goodness we always had at MSB. Last one we had at MSB was right before MSB closed for refurbishment to Starbucks. Also the coffee cake the MSB had was they best I have had anywhere. The Starbucks coffee cake is just no where close either to the original MSB. I'm sad all over again! Lol :(
The only thing that is good besides the coffee of course is the breakfast sandwiches BUT my local Starbucks serves the same artesian breakfast sandwiches so that is nothing unique either. My DH is a Starbucks regular here at home but was also really disappointed with the complete change to MSB.

Where's that? I believe you but I've personally never seen a Starbucks with hot food.

AMEN, brother you understand real food vs short cut quick food. I went to Gaestons and no way do they compare to the msb. sorry for those who don,t see the difference. And again I love Starbucks coffee and company, but it would have been so much better withe msb cake and Starbucks coffee. Maybe some day Disney execs will see it to but the fact they don,t is scary for their future moves. What next?

Just because they were baked in store doesnt mean they are Home made.
True, but given my choice made in store vs shipped in to the store from a factory , I would take the old MSB way vs what Starbucks gives us now on Main Street USA. Remember the Main Street is supposed to be home town America type stores. I really am surprised at both Disney and Starbucks that they did not agree to make the Main Street Starbucks unique from all others how hard could it have been to say to Starbucks let's make the bake goods different at this one. I bet Starbucks would have had no problem with it.
Remember those fresh hot Gooy cinnamon buns and the bake smell that drifted out to the street when you walked by. Ahh the good old day!
Where there's a will there's a way. They could have done better.

Most Starbucks when we go in town in Lafayette, LA and also throughout Louisiana and Florida , Texas, DC, etc have the hot sandwich options for breakfast with egg and different meat options etc, and all day ones like chicken paninis etc and the breakfast ones are just like at Disney. They rolled that out almost 2 years ago. If you look at the menus online you will find them for a lot of Starbucks locations now(supposed to be company wide by now). They are pretty good as I do get one on occassion. Captain if yours do not have it your missing out. Lol :)

I live in Dunkin' Donuts territory.
We don't have DD in my city and the closest is an hour away. Boooo you suck! Haha. We do though have a delicious local donut shop family franchise called Meche's Donuts that far surpasses any one else's donuts and hot Starbucks sandwiches so I guess I can do without DD. lol :)
Also have a great coffee house chain that is local as well CC's coffee. We get three great options for coffee and donuts, and sandwiches. :)

Honestly, the food at MSB was hardly mind blowing. It was ok.

I'd rather have a decent iced coffee from Starbucks that a mediocre muffin from MSB. But that's me..
The baked goods are what I went there for and they were far superior to the Starbucks average cakes. I never really order food there. The point is you can get Starbucks anywhere in America but you couldn't get the Main Street bakery cinnamon buns anywhere but there.

FYI I remember Pepsi at the parks and I am one of the the few that likes Pepsi over Coke.
It is not like they have a GIANT Starbuck logo in front of the place, the do keep aesthetics.
Starbucks does not bother me but, I will never spend $4.00 for a cup of coffee, people want to line up and throw cash at them fine. The theme parks can have a Starbucks on every corner, what do I care.... I just walk by.

:) They should serve Tim Hortons at Canada "World Showcase"

Sponsorship is one thing and an accepted thing at WDW. We all understand how that works at WDW. In this case the problem is a take over at the bakery and the outsing of the quality baked goods in exchange for the prepackaged cakes shipped in to the Starbucks store on Main Street.

I'm shocked that WDW and Starbucks did not have the creativity to make the MAIN STREET Bakery have the baked in store QUALITY baked goods like they had before. It would hav ebeen easy to do but they chose to make a regular Starbucks just like everywhere else in America.
Sad from the creative side of things. Main Street needs to be different, I want to see things that are exclusive to Disney and things that I can't get on any corner of America. Starbucks shame on you and Disney for not seeing this.

I love Starbucks coffee and can only imagine how good it could have been with a fresh hot gooy Cinnamon bun. Ahh the smell and aroma of them both together.

I emailed the CEO of starbucks with concerns and suggestions about the Main Street Bakery. If you would like to pass along constructive comments about the loss of the baked goods here is his email address that I found on the net, Maybe if enough comment they will try and make some changes. You never know unless you try.

So with the slow growth of Starbucks throughout the World - where can one get a cup of coffee which is NOT Starbucks? I'm a DD fan. I don't need specialty coffees.
