Just read about that on another board. Guess I missed that one. I LOVED that store. :(

Wow - The West Side is gonna be awfully lonely. No Virgin Store and now this.

With any luck, maybe we'll get a nice little dress store to coincidce with Princess Di's museum.

:( It was actually a good store. Too bad everything was overpriced, or I would've bought something...

I never really thought of it so much as a store, but more of an exhibit of cool memorabilia. Will be sorely missed.

All they have to do now is close the Candy Cauldron and the Magic store and I'll have no use for the West Side at all.

I had pretty much the same opinion of the place. It was one of those places that a lottery win would be necessary before I opened my wallet. I would go in and look around whenever I was there but never ever seriously considered buying anything there.

I always did wonder how they stayed in business. I never saw anyone buy anything there.

Guess now we now the answer to that one.

I will still go to Hoypoli & Pop Gallery, among others... :lookaroun

If I were going to La Nouba (well worth it), I suppose I'd venture down there. I don't care about DisneyQuest. I don't smoke cigars. And I can get to the movies on the other end. Other than a need for a caramel apple (which can no be obtained at Goofy's Candy Shoppe at the Marketplace), or if I feel like dropping $50 on a deck of cards to do a magic trick, I don't think I'll be venturing down that way much.:(

That the irony about the West Side shops for me. I don't buy anything there.

It's just the visual imagery that I go for. And those two stores. :lookaroun

Exactly. It was a fun place to walk around and browse.

I did from time to time buy something at Virgin. And like an idiot, I bought a couple card tricks which I never figured out how to do.:lookaroun

The pin/drink cart is also closed for refurbishment...

Maybe they're turning it into another DVC post. If I'm correct, the distance between DVC locations at DTD is not consistant with the rest of WDW. They stand 150 yards apart from one another instead of the standard 100 yards.

I also bought stuff from Virgin. Best store there, IMHO.

And don’t try to figure them out so quickly. Magicians had years of practice. :)
