That being said....SW Weekends has really taken a nosedive. My family used to plan our vacations for May just so we could do the opening weekend celebration.
They used to get the Star Wars A-Listers; Warwick Davis, Anthony Daniels, heck even Carrie Fisher and Billie Dee Williams would show up.
Now, they have a handful of voice actors from the wretched CGI Clone Wars movie/TV show* and random people who donned makeup to be background characters.
"Hi! I'm Random Alien Guy #4, and was sitting in the Senate scene a few rows behind Natalie Portman. Please buy my autograph...please...I beg you....the bank is going to foreclose on my house...think of my children..."
So this year I'm going in July. No point in wasting my time at SW weekends, when it's going to be the same C-grade show, yet again. I mean hell, you would have thought that in 2011, they would have gone all out with the new Star Tours opening.
*side note: no disrespect to Ashley Eckstein, but Asohka Tano is not a real Star Wars character in any capacity. As Asohka Tano is never mentioned or referenced, and had zero impact in any of the movies (which is weird since Clone Wars is supposed to be between AotC and RotS), it is my conclusion that she is merely a marketing ploy to sell more merchandise to the female under 15 demographic.
As such, AE really has no business being the host of SW Weekends. Shoot, I could take over as host of SW Weekends. And I would do it dressed as Grand Admiral Thrawn.
