Always choose automatic update to your apps.

Thank you but I disagree. I wish I had auto updates turned off. We would have never had this problem. We went to AK yesterday so came home early only to spend 4 hours trying all kinds of fixes (my livelyhood is with apps, web apps, software, etc.)

Who was to know that there would be an update the day before our first attempt at HS. No matter, GET came through.

If anyone every has a problem, go to a blue shirt and let them know ahead of time so they can help. Once 10 or 2 rolls around and you miss the BG, they will not be able to help

Update: Upgrading the IOS fixed the issue. Our next HS day is on Aug 3 so I am set, now I need to upgrade the family. I hope this helps.

Remember, if they are not with you at DHS the day you go, they are not really a friend/family. I don’t care what 🧬 says.

Easy morning so far. Car in front of me was turned around and then we were first to drive to booths. Arrived in park at 9:30. MMRR was open. Was on the ride doing the conga and was able to get boarding group 3. Not on Disney wifi. Wow that worked so well. Thanks for all of the advice.

Has anyone used (or seen other folks use) the new “Entry Code” barcode to access the ride (instead of tapping a MagicBand/Card)?

I’m curious if this actually works (in terms of the scanners working with it) / was intentional, or if it was something that was accidentally included in the MDX app.

The MDX And DLR apps are largely the same app but with different configurations, so it’s definitely possible that the barcode feature from DLR was accidentally included in the WDW/MDX app version.

I had two “boarding passes“ with a bar code for myself and spouse In the app. I had them ready to be scanned but the cast member didn’t want to look at them and only wanted to scan our magic bands. I accessed it with the Entry Code button. Two separate bar codes on tickets like you use for a concert.

Interesting, thanks! I’m fairly sure then that adding the Entry Code barcode was accidental.
