Officially fallen behind yesterday's pace (Yesterday, we were at BG 86 at 3:20; today we are at BG 84 at 3:20)... still a good pace overall though... Considering the last group was called at 6:30 pm yesterday, should still have no issue getting through the 121 "promised" BGs plus deep into whatever "extra" BGs they also handed out today.
Yes, they stalled a bit at 67 and look like they've been at 84 now for a while. Yesterday it seemed like there was virtually no downtime.

My experience today:

Parked at DHS at 6:25
No delay at security, but they were just beginning to let people enter park as I got into a massive crowd waiting to get through the tapstyles about 6:30
Was about 6:50 when I finally got into the park
Was able to get a BG right away after entering, got BG 57 (did not have to wait the 3 to 5 minutes)
BG 57 was called about 11:40; the line for the ride moved steadily, but the ride malfunctioned in some respects during my ride (we did not have to be evacuated, though)
The CM's at the exit gave everyone in my group a paper fastpass for another ride on Rise
I got right back into the fastpass line, which was stopped briefly for some ride downtime, but then we got right into the preshow (I think this was during the time the Boarding Groups were stuck on 67)
Second time the ride ran much more coherently, but I think not perfect in all respects
I then left the park, and was out at my car in the parking lot by 1:40

The park was much busier earlier in the morning than last Monday, but I was able to do 2 rides on Toy Story Mania, 3 rides on Rock and Roller (two in singles line, one with fastpass), Star Tours, MuppetVision, the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far far Away show, and the Beauty and the Beast Show between 7:00 and when my BG was called about 11:40.

I am extremely satisfied with my experience today. It seems to me that the Boarding Group system, together with the very early opening time for the park, sets up for a very favorable experience, as long as you are an early arriver.

I appreciate that today’s change makes it clear that they are confident they can call 120 groups but want to, in a fair manner, allow guests to ride until park close. I’m sure they will do everything they can to get to 120 each day to avoid issuing FPs and Park hoppers.

I also presume they are able to quickly open new groups into the evening as many guests who got a BG at 7:20 am are no longer in the park.

I just left HS as I was looking for a Christmas gift they didn’t have. Now I’m going to MK because I saw it yesterday morning. Should I be looking for a group soon lol
