I hope it's announced, with significant details, and I hope it closes for the refurb by the end of the year so it reopens by our trip next year in late July. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I would say that time line you are hoping for sounds about right...but you never know. I would look for the west coast version to be the first one to change out. As far as details..... they are trying to make this the event to come to each year to find out the latest and greatest info so you never know:lookaroun

I'd take DCA over DHS.

Yea. I said it.

I might agree with you in 2013!

When I was there the park was ok but clearly a cluster you know what. The studios section was fine I even prefer their animation building to ours.
MI dark ride was great.

Condor Flats: Besides Soarin there was nothing to do.

Grizzly Section: This was the best themed section of the park Grizzly River Run and Brother Bear playground.

A bugs land: People that don't like the carnival type attractions in Dino USA will be in their worst nitemare.

Paridice Pier: The Tortilla and breadFactory were awsome. The rest of the land is themed well and I don't mind the carnival type attractions.

As of right now I'd put DCA and DHS in the same boat. In 2013 with the additions of TLM, World of Color, Silly Symphony Swings, the new theater (Which I've heard is supposed to maybe house something similar to American Adventure in EC but centered around the story of Walt Disney) and Cars land, DCA might be in the top three Disney Parks in the World!

The attraction lineup at DCA is better. The only legit argument is that the Tower of Terror in DHS is better than it's California counterpart. Both parks are somewhat disjointed in their themes, so that argument against DCA isn't really valid. If Fantasmic isn't back to daily showings by the time that World of Color opens up, it will be a landslide in the favor of DCA. Tack on Little Mermaid, and Carsland in a few years, and DCA may become a stronger second gate (at least in terms of attractions) than Epcot.

I really dont know about you guys. But i want to march down to WDW and punch TDO in their faces so they can learn how to run a park because Star tours 2.0 TLM and the BATB restaruant and a snow white mine ride/cheshire coaster arent really going to cut it in the long run. Wizarding World of Harry Potter is entering that overhyped stage along the lines of TT now.
