Star Wars not so popular or changes already being made?

One of the highest rated shows on Cartoon Network during its run. Of course, it came during the time the CN execs were fumbling around with shoehorning live-action shows onto a channel for cartoons.

Yeah they absolutely destroyed the Thundercats reboot. That was sooooi sad.

Thundercats reboot self-destructed on its own. Had a good premiere, but it nosedived fast and it turned into the "Let's crap on Lion-O and make Tigra the most important character" show.

That was supposed to be addressed in season 2 which was supposed to show the growth of the two characters, but unfortunately never saw the light of day. That along with the redemption of Pumyra and introduction of Bengali. There is a lot to argue with the direction the writers took, but they were never allowed to finish their story. Poor time slot and marketing killed the show. If it had been part of the adult swim non-comedy lineup it probably would have made it another couple of seasons.

Oh you didn't hear about the Season 2 plan? Pumyra was gonna turn into a giant bug monster and be killed off.

Everything no matter how popular reaches a saturation point. Disney whose only concern is monetizing the brand unfortunately will ignore this and force it at us with intensity of a fire hose.

I guess we will just have to meet back up in a decade or so and compare notes. I believe there is an exception to every rule, and that exception is Star Wars if anything else. Everything that has happened for the last 40 years is evidence of that.

They should replace the Star Wars fireworks with a show that celebrates several Disney movies.
I think that may be what to OP is talking about, since the projection system on the Chinese Theater makes it pretty easy to change the show. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some new projection show after this Christmas one for the new live action Beauty and the Beast coming out in March, this year is also the 25th anniversary of the original animated film... changing that up for Disney's latest films would be an easy keep people's interest in the park while all the construction is going on as well as promote film, the last 2 summers were all about Frozen at DHS, and these Star Wars fireworks replaced the Frozen fireworks, so I don't see why they'd change that trend of promoting the newest releases at the "movie park"

I have no doubt that Star Wars will continue to be an iconic brand, but I know that Disney will do everything they can to exploit it and make it so omnipresent that it will water it down. The test will be how the spinoffs do. (The later ones not the first 2)

And they were going to kill off Tygra. It was a storyline that should have played over multiple seasons but was not done because of terrible management at CN.

Was the Cast Member drinking when he/she gave this info? ;)

OP, I think the person who told you must be confused, more likely received wrong information.

A Galactic Spectacular is being cancelled. She said it wasn't making the money they thought it would.

If the free show isn't making money, they should have more shows per day and make up for it in volume.

They're shoving it down people's throats and they are sick of it.

Yeah, wish they'd get of that mouse thing.
