My wife is going to love that! We arrive on the 19th.Apparently Dec. 18th the fireworks will start

True story. Some folks should go and create their own Disney negativity forum so this forum doesn't get so polluted lol.Welcome to this forum lately, the negativity has become almost utterly unbearable.

Why be so negative about the negative posts?
I honestly don't mind negative posts; it's an open forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect that. It's just when every post seems to be negative it starts to get tiring. Honestly though, this forum is no different than any other forum on the web. The good and the bad should be taken with a grain of salt. Thanks but no thanks, people should just learn to take the good with the bad. Life (and Disney) isn't always magical. LOL
I was thinking about going over there tonight, but I think I'll skip it. I was afraid it would be a gift shop, a few exhibits, and anna and elsa 2.0. Maybe I'll make time for it after the fireworks show starts.
Sooo... you were afraid that it was going to be exactly what they said it was going to be?
I am quite capable of looking at positives and negatives in life, but the constant bickering over NOTHING that has gone on over the last few weeks is ridiculous. It makes the forum an unpleasant place to be. The discussions almost always become a "you don't think this is trash? Well eff you! You must snort pixie dust everyday, hardy har har!" mudslinging fight, and that's no fun. My posting record is evidence that I can provide useful critique to things that warrant it. This Launch Bay junk isn't worth a critique (in my eyes) because it was never billed as a E ticket style attraction. Why is anyone shocked its lackluster? Hello, its in one of the most lackluster Disney parks! So forgive me for getting a tad bit annoyed!
I was there on Tuesday and was disappointed. I expected it to be more immersive than it was. It felt more like a museum mixed with the current version of Innovations West (a Visa meet and greet and some video games).
I was expecting something like this:Isn't that exactly what they said it would be? I guess I'm confused as to what people's expectations where. There was never indication that this would be some sort of "immersive" pretend you are in the Star Wars galaxy setting, at least not that I ever saw.
I was expecting something like this:View attachment 122005Silly me.
Looks like people are taking what I said out of context. Shocking Fine, continue pleasuring yourselves with unfounded personal attacks on my opinion.

Ventured into this early this morning. Extremely disappointing.
Didn't have huge expectations at all. But honestly felt this is scraping the barrel in terms of budget and entertainment.
Literally no theming at all. Felt like an extended shop. The few exhibits that were there were not very interesting, nor the small movie - which essentially played like an advert for Star Wars. The meet and greets were just what they are - a meet and greet. Felt a little distasteful that it appeared to be just centered around selling merchandise.
Hardly anyone was there, and most around me agreed it was pretty low rent.
Few cast members spoke of the new Star Wars land that could take 5 years or even longer, to summarize it's not coming anytime soon. So this is really not temporary is it? Makes me worry how bad the Frozen attraction will be, if the same people behind that are behind this. I honestly felt a few hardcore fans with a smaller budget could have done something better than this.
Poor.

I don't mind, and completely understand, the negativity.
But, there are times where it feels like if the Mouse handed out suitcases full of cash, people would complain that the suitcases were too heavy.
Going to see the Launch Bay on the 17th and will reserve judgement until then. From the pics, some of the smaller areas look decent, while the main large area looks like it could have used a ton more theming (but I really have no idea if that's true).
How 'temporary' do you think this is?
