For fun, JediMasterMatt, throw out a list of some of the effects / tech included along with the kitchen sink. Please? No story context, of course.

It's going to use a bit of everything - AA's, screens, projections, large sets, the LPS system, on board audio as well set based, smoke, LED lighting, etc., etc.... it's probably easier to say what tech it's not using. It's not using the flume from Maelstrom, or the show building from the Great Movie Ride or Energy for that matter and thankfully not taking the Omnimovers from any of the marvelous attractions that use them.

This ride actually sounds like it’s up there in scale with Pirates, Mansion and Splash. Feels like we haven’t seen anything like that in the states for quite a while.

Based on the Nov 27 photo update on wdwmagic there was a really neat aerial shot, so I tried to picture what Galaxy's Edge would look like from that view. The prediction is based on the D23 model and some of the slight variations from the DL version.

Needed a bit of guess work due to the angle, but any insiders feel free to comment if there are any major errors and I'll fix it. This is for a personal project I've been working on but just thought I'd share!

Coming in with a rough idea of the land and trying to read through 589 pages is tough. It's why @MisterPenguin 's Rumor Tracker is incredible.

As long as I was doing that, I wanted to dive a bit deeper and basically go through as much as I could find on this land, in particular the two attractions, and make a summary thread of the info from the insiders, leaving room at the end for any predictions or must-see content we want in the land (hence the placement in the imagineer forum)

That way folks don't have to go through so many pages.

Just again a huge thank you to all our insiders. I actually have even more appreciation for your patience as going through this thread sometimes the same info was repeated based on the same questions. Yes...the turntable will stop..for the 5th time.

While not a SWL construction update, here’s a Star Wars construction update of another kind... the Last Jedi premiere is (apparently) going to be at the Shrine Auditorium in LA tomorrow night, so I guess they are building an AT-AT for the event!

If there are any baseball fans on these forums, I am more than a little convinced that Shohei Ohtani (a potential once-in-a-generation superstar) signed with the Angels so he could be close to star wars land when it opens, and I'll believe that until he explicitly says otherwise.

If that's being filled in without a walkthrough cut into it, then the rumored iffy plans to make Star Tours exit into SWGEB are much less likely to happen.

Not necessarily, I never imagined the walkway would go that far over if it happened. There are a couple other sections closer to the battle ride that it could go through.
