There are negative reviews, but the vast majority of the reviews I've seen have been glowing.

So in these "glowing" reviews they are truly excited about and raving about:

- No moving droids (not counting a static droid behind a fence who's head rotates when you use an app)
- No aliens walking around (EDIT: Except Chewie)
- No Jedi walking around (EDIT: Apparently Rey is a "Jedi". So she alone represents all of the Jedi in Batuu during her shift)
- No smugglers walking around (since Batuu is supposedly some smuggler's destination (which would only be known if you read a WDI interview))
- No light saber duels
- No use of Force of any kind in the land
- No way for kids to engage in the Force like Jedi Academy or wands in Potter
- No appearance of the iconic Star Wars characters such as Yoda, Vader, Boba Fett, C3P0, R2D2, Kenobi, Jabba, Luke, Leia, Han, etc, etc.
- No Star Wars music filling the land
- No Mos Eisley cantina, only a tiny knockoff cantina with no alien band playing
- No movement, but a completely static land besides one droid turning a spit (EDIT: And the Dianoga so two small things in 14 acres)

Can't wait to read those reviews where they are so excited, passionate, thrilled, and "glowing" about a land that does NOT have all of those things.

Someone posted a video in the smuggler’s run queue at WDW, and there was some great music coming from a radio.

Is this a constant thing?

I don’t remember this at Disneyland.

It really added excitement.

Several items on your list are not exactly true and some will be corrected once Rise opens. The last one is certainly hyperbolic.

There are tons of positive reviews but they tend to focus on what the land has to offer rather than intentionally searching for the negative.

I’m looking forward to finally seeing it for myself next weekend. I’m not as critical as some. If I liked Slinky Dog, I’m sure this will be a hit for us.

Yikes... but on point. Hopefully they can fix these issues.

It’s there in the DL version. There’s a few radios playing music throughout the land.

there wasn't any music during the queue when I went 2 weeks ago. Seems like they're starting to add music

I agree that those things should be in Batuu. I just also know I am thrilled by what is there. The good news is that none of those things that are missing would be difficult to add later. Probably only a matter of time...

So you are saying they are thrilled none of that is there - not saying they are and that is certainly their right to be thrilled none of that is there, just haven't seen those reviews.

You can't have a "glowing" review unless you're thrilled with all of that not being there, because otherwise it would be an entirely different land.

Unless it is one of those common "Well it's fine for what they did but it could be so much better if they did all of that and maybe they will do it someday" reviews, which is far from "glowing". Again, if people are thrilled none of that is there, God bless.

This is just a curious concept to me - I listed all of the fundamental things one would expect in a Star Wars land at a Disney park. You said all of those things should be there. None of those things are there. Yet you are "thrilled" by the land that lacks all of those fundamental things. Not questioning you being thrilled and I think that is great, just truly a strange disconnect to me.

Besides the fact that your list isn't completely accurate, it's a bit of a fallicy to say that a floomg review must be thrilled will all of that not being there From the reviews I've read, most positive reviewers are amazed at what is there and don't notice the things that aren't. So it's not that they are OK with it, they are just highly impressed with what's there already.

I am absolutely open to editing the post. Which specific ones are untrue as I will edit accordingly. On the last point, what design element is constantly moving in the land besides the droid on the spit? I honestly can't think of one and will be glad to edit the original post.

For one thing you said no Jedi were roaming around. Rey roams the land. She is a Jedi.
