So I've been trying to keep track of the construction for this land on both coasts, and here's what I've got so far:

DL's construction reached its highest point in late August 2017, and DHS construction reached the same point in early December 2017.

DL's Falcon went vertical in late September, and was finished in late November/early December.
DHS's Falcon went up sometime in December, which should place its completion in late February/early March.

DL's X-wing, turret, and ITS shuttle for RotR all popped up around late January/early February.
This should mean that DHS will get those in late April/early May.

Assuming DL gets their TIE fighter early-to-mid March, DHS should get their TIE sometime in June.

All of this continues to support the idea that DHS is 3-ish months behind DL. With this in mind, if DL's SW:GE really does open in late June, then it should open at DHS in early October.

We don't think the building with the ship on top is done yet, do we? The scaffolding has been down for quite some time, but it doesn't look like the theming is finished by any means. Here's a recent aerial and the pic released from Disneyland for comparison:

In today's aerials we can better see some additional themeing elements placed on the roof waiting to be installed (these panels will ring the top of the structure around the ship.)

As for overall detail, it's hard to say as you're comparing a pic with high contrast to one with low. I've noticed lighting and the distance from which the pics were taken can make the same item look very different.

This might've already been discussed, but I was watching Solo the other day with closed captioning on and there was a blink and you'll miss it moment in a conversation and they name drop Black Spire. Nice retcon touch, disney.
That’s worldbuilding, not retconning- an addition to lore instead of a change. I also think the way L3 name dropped it in Solo was the best way to do it, it’s so subtle and doesn’t stick out. A nice Easter egg for those in the know, but nothing jarring for those who aren’t. It also lets us know Lando has been there.

But didn't they already call it batuu and black spire way before Solo hit theaters? Serious question, I'm not into the SW EU crap that has been created over the years, so it could be referenced in other works.

So with about 8-9 months still go to for Orlando, do we think it will be ready in time?

I'm sure the rides much be pretty much complete and a lot of it is theming?

I do worry a lot of the minor details like droids moving around the land will not be there on launch. They need these and other characters to make it feel like somewhere that's lived in

I still am not convinced that these ambiance characters will last more than a few weeks, if they ever get out. Guests will think that they are entitled to interact with them through photos, selfies, whatever...and they will soon disappear.

Same thing with the Falcon ride. There will be fist fights if little Johnny crashes the Falcon 30 seconds in and the rest of the ride is ruined for the other party after waiting 120 minutes to get into the land and another 350 minutes in stand-by.

There is no way they would design the Falcon ride so that the actions of a guest would "ruin" the ride for everyone else. I am sure they will find a way to give you a different experience based on the actions of the guests, but none of the experiences will be a disappointment.

Exactly. Maybe doing really awful triggers something fun like Jar Jar having to come and give an assist because you're just so bad at flying (Yousa even more bombad!) Everyone will have the same length of experience no matter what. Just as there's likely a better way to play, maybe there's a worst which can also be a goal. That's the magic of interractive storytelling. Different experiences doesn't have to mean some are all that better than others. Trying to do everything just right actually sounds more stressful and less about having fun and taking it all in.

Just a quick follow-up:
According to this video, DL’s TIE fighter was installed this weekend. Assuming the “3-ish” month gap, we should see it show up at DHS in late May/early June.

I'm really worried about DHS capacity after seeing it the busiest I've ever seen it on Presidents Day. I'm talkin' Muppets Extended Queue all the way to the back, Animation Courtyard shoulder to shoulder, stroller to stroller. A 30 minute wait for Little Mermaid, lines around the corner for ABC Commissary while an entire huge quick service building (Pizzerizzo) was closed all day. It's gonna be really bad for SWGE, there's still not a lot to do in this park to handle the crowds, it's crazy.

yeah i think strollers should be banned too ;)
