So in a discussion on WDW attendance another poster said they'd make a trip to Galaxy's Edge if he could get on at least one ride guaranteed. And with our discussion a few pages back on GE having two E-Ticket attractions it got me thinking...which ride do we think will generate the most interest? If you could only ride one of them during your trip which would you pick, TFO Battle Escape or the Millennium Falcon?

Here's a poll if you want to cast a vote.

Personally, I'm having a really tough time deciding, but I think I'd opt for TFO Battle Escape simple because I want to see how creative they get with the technology.

Battle Escape, but thank God I don’t have to make that choice. I’ve been wanting to pilot the Falcon since I was 8 years old so on nostalgia alone the Millennium Falcon ride would easily win, but since logic tells me the better and more unique ride will be Battle Escape....I’d have to choose that one.

Battle Escape is going to be the more elaborate, and better - if you will - ride.
How much of that the general public will know is another story.
Most people don't do a heck of a lot of research on individual rides before they vacation.
I'd imagine that the Falcon just being The Falcon having the replica parked out front, and being the dream of so many to fly may make it the bigger draw.
At least until the word gets out that Battle Escape is the more elaborate of the two.
And even then, who knows?

I think the Falcon will be the perfect bait to pull the uninformed guests away from Battle Escape at the beginning of the day, but everyone will want to ride both sooner or later.

Who are you calling uninformed? ;)

I mean, who doesn't want to pilot the Millenium Falcon? I know both will be great, and I know that the effects on Battle Escape will be awesome.

But it's the Millenium Falcon!

I'm gonna play Devil's advocate here, in part refuting some of my own concerns with Star Wars Land and DHS in general. Come 2019, we know that DHS is opening 3 major attractions and I'm ballparking the total hourly capacity of those attractions at 5000 guests per hour. In deference to other high demand additions to the parks, in theory over the course of a 12 hour day, 60,000 guests can get on at least one ride. That does help from a guest satisfaction standpoint. Sure, it would be substantially better if a heavily updated GMR was also open, but we could see three separate 2 hour long lines as the new normal as opposed to 4-6 hour waits for any single attraction.

I have no idea? I guess within because of sight lines people are worried about :) You don’t sound like a fool at all. :)
I’m sure we could wade back through multiple sources and look at early construction pics, but is it “hollow” (for lack of a better word) in there?

How would they access it to build?

I know Martin keeps saying it’s bigger than it looks, so what kind of ride could they put in there? There’s not a lot of height with which to work.

Slow moving dark ride perhaps?

Is there a legitimate chance of the third attraction actually coming? In my lifetime? (I’m almost 51, if that helps.)

My concern is Disney will look for a cheaper option and keep Star Tours which would mean Muppets is a goner. Would the theatre be used to showcase the SW cartoons, keep Hedi training, try Indiana Jones into a Jedi stunt show and the area behind the stunt show another mega E-ticket. Just a guess :) Lots Of maybes or they do nothing

How the heck will they use the berm area of the SW expansion (which is needed on day one)??

Somebody posted this pic with the outline the other day, the red area is guest facing space. In the second picture you get a better idea of the available space in the land. I would imagine the dip in the berm gets pushed back/blown out. Martin mentioned you could probably fit a show building about the size of the Falcon in there.

My real question is how they'd handle hiding the construction considering how immersive they're trying to be.
