Star Wars - How much is too much?

If you look at Universal and HP, you see that there is a near-insatiable appetite there, Universal could quadruple the HP footprint and attractions without worrying about over-saturation. I don't think the current Star Wars plans at DHS, adding two A-List attractions and plenty of POP opportunities. Just in my own family, my two daughters (13 and 11) were ambivalent about Star Wars, and only went with my to TFA because of my history with SW. Leaving the theater, they were new converts-exactly what the House of Mouse expected when they acquired the franchise.

So I recently watched a video of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular and have to say that it looks pretty great! I'm starting to think quality is going to make all the difference in whether or not I get tired of it.

End of the day, it's subjective. I understand Star Wars.. Look at how passionate star wars fans are.... It's Avatar land or whatever that has me scratching my head.

Star Wars Land does appear to be good news to many fans of Star Wars. Honestly, I feel its much needed for HWS, and this is their first major expansion project since 1999. Speaking of Star Wars, I am taking a class at my college next semester called The Mythic Journey and Star Wars, which pretty much focuses around the "hero-cycle" and the mythology of the franchise.

I hate the Harry Potter films (sorry) but can appreciate and enjoy the parts of Universal that are HP themed, if done well then I can see the same thing happening at Disney with Star Wars Land and those who aren't fans.

If you can get your hands on a copy, they may even show you parts of it in class, check out the Bill Moyers interview with Joseph Campbell, really good program.

Absolutely, I loved 20K and never saw the movie. I thought HP was great and never saw a single movie. I might had that in both cases it didn't even make me want to see the movies. I saw the first Pirates because of the attraction, but, have not seen one of the followup movies made since the Black Pearl. I think I would probably enjoy SWL even though the only Star Wars movie that I have ever seen all the way through was Awakens. I have never seen an Avatar movie, but, I am looking forward to the land, if and when it ever gets completed. It depends on how the attractions are built and to what degree of "WoW" that they achieve. It's up to them.

lol, good news? If it's done correctly, I'll be crying when walking into Star Wars Land on opening day. Its a life-long dream come true for Star Wars fans like myself!

No, "a bit much" is what they did with frozen... As far as I know we don't have Ren and Rey M&Gs at MK, The Poe Dameron X-Wing water ride taking over the Three Caballeros in EC, and BB-8 paper fans being forced on you as you enter HS. Nope, I don't think The Mouse has come close to "much" yet.
Or The Living Seas having a ride themed around a tour of Otoh Gunga, with Jar Jar Binks as your tour guide...(I got that idea from an April Fools joke about EPCOT getting Star Wars rides. Here it is. Well, actually what they claim would happen in the entire article is an imaginary example of what over saturation of Star Wars could be like: http://www.disneyfanatic.com/beloved-epcot-attraction-to-be-redesigned-into-the-death-star/)

Kidding aside, you do have a point. What they did with Frozen would be considered a little too much. The Star Wars stuff is only restricted to one park at Walt Disney World, unlike how Frozen has been in three of the four parks at the resort.
