We used to do that in the old days when these events weren't so huge. But honestly, IMO it's too stressful with crowds and security. Now I just head right for the corral.

Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend - The Dark Side

Thanks! Have people successfully gotten from BW to the finish line (though I know this is based on your runners pace) easily? Looks like I may end up being dropped off so that another family member can use the car to visit with friends, so I'll want to def meet up with them at the end so I can go back to their hotel (then again if they're staying at BW this year like it the past; I would be right there ::thinking:: ) I'm staying on Rt 192 and looking at the race map, I'm curious if going up Sherberth and meeting them when they exit AK parking lot could be an option; that's about a half way point, and if she needs to swap or trade anything, that's probably a good distance to do so. There's a water station there too. I just can't find anything about rd closures to try to figure out HOW I could park (prior to my family leaving) and still get to where they're running....
wow, this looks good. i cant remember but do i need to bring any print out for this. do i need to bring a proof of any sort
but we could meet post run, somewhere for lunch or dinner on Saturday... i dont get in there till Friday afternoon.

It's the virtual one. Did you sign up for it? or the kessel run challenge?
yes i need to pick some stuff for someone, so i will buy merchandise tomorrow with my bib pickup
so i dont need to print out any proof for this right? i have email on my phone to show them that i have signed up...

The runDisney site shows this:
runDisney Kessel Run Challenge Important Details:
- Kessel Run Challenge participants will receive their Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon medal and Star Wars-themed keepsake at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo during the Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side race weekend.
- Upon completion of the Star Wars Dark Side Half Marathon within the pacing requirements, participants will be awarded the coveted Kessel Run Challenge medal in addition to their Star Wars Dark Side Half Marathon medal.
I guess there's a stand for the Virtual Race medal & Kessel run info. Using your ID would prove your claim for the virtual medal, and later on the Kessel Run after completing your second half of the challenge.
But @LAKid53 can tell you all the details, she did it all to get the medal

At the Field House, where bib pick up is, there's a section for Kessel Challenge. Give them your name, show them your photo ID and they will give you a box that holds the medal, magnet and BB8 keychain. And put a band on your wrist if you're running the Kessel. You need to keep the band on because that's the proof to get your Kessel medal after you finish the Half.

'Cause I'm all about the medals, lol.
I'm not doing any Disney food until after the Half on Sunday. With 3 medals on the line, I don't want tummy troubles.
