1. Completely agree.
2. Have not. Going by what I have seen so far from others. Obviously my opinions could change once I go.
3. Agree. But I don't think some of the decisions are bad that you think are bad.
4. Love the kinetics, the lighting at night, Slinky Dog is a lot of fun. Could it be better? Sure. But what's there is good fun.
So wait a second....you were giving affirmative support of something you haven’t seen?

Dude...I love you, but....

I held “too much comment” on my end until i went to Disneyland.
Tried to keep it to “trends” based on observations of attendance and general recurring feedback

Enough to fill the parking lot on opening day...which locals avoid to stay away from the the “damn tourists” that fund the whole region?

I think you can answer that.

Locals account for 10% of the crowd...typically.

Uh, yes? I live in Orlando and every single person I parked next to lived in Orlando. I saw multiple coworkers and other classmates from school nearly every 10 minutes in the land. It was FILLED with locals. An opening day event like this is absolutely an event many locals would be interested in.

Just because YOU don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s not high quality. I don’t like caviar - but I don’t doubt it’s a high quality item.

Why must you assume your personal taste is the standard by what determines quality?

Most everything they have built in recent years has been high quality! FOP is a wonder in MOST people’s opinion.... and trackless rides are awesome. Have you even been on Pooh’s Honey Hunt or Ratatouille? I’ve done both many times and if you watch people getting off you’ll see that 90% of them are delighted.
Ok...you win.

Didn’t say any of this...and I’m not going out on a limb with anything I said.

I surrender...back to Star Wars.

(I like trackless...by the way. But it’s not a “thrill ride” the way this ride is being painted as. I’ve done Luigi’s and ratatouille...they’re good C/B tickets)

Oh dear...

I’m not saying locals didn’t like it...or don’t show...but they are a small part of the overall wdw consumer base. Unlike Disneyland...which I think Florida people have started to get weary of in these
Star Wars discussions.

So the parking lot wasn’t full with locals today...what’s the chances tomorrow? How about in 3
Months?

The person was asking about the parking situation TODAY. Nobody is wondering what it’ll be like in 3 months. Locals are a small part of WDW yet on a day like today, locals make up a huge percentage of the attendance. The parking lot had people circling around at 3am trying to get in and the lines extended way through the property to park. It’s absolutely not a ridiculous question to wonder if the lot got full.

It appears to have been successful in the not breaking down stakes so far and having thousands of disappointed guests queuing for hours before being told "sorry it ain't working and don't know when it will be"

Not bad considering it's been running since about 5am. And hopefully tomorrow it will open at 6am unless they decide to only open at 12 noon before shutting shortly after and disappointing thousands more. So a good day really from that perspective  :D

Less than two hours on opening day is....surprising. Maybe it’ll pick up again as locals get out of regular work. But it’s great for anyone there! Enjoy.
As soon as we got off work we headed to the stores to try and find water (no luck so far) and other supplies for the storm. It’s a mad house everywhere. I think most people are probably worried more about that today which is unfortunate for the SWGE opening. I’m just thankful we’ve already been or I’d be really upset about missing these lighter than expected crowds.

Opening day and the only ride in the brand spanking new land barely has a longer line than Slinky Dog Dash...

Anyone remember the length of the line for Frozen when it opened? That was a ride that everyone had already been on previous to the overlay of the Frozen IP. The dusters will still call this opening day a massive success.

What's also surprising is how low the waits are at the handful of other E Tickets in DHS, while E Tickets in Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are 70 minutes or longer.

At 5:30pm Eastern, per the WDW App...

Tower of Terror - 10 Minutes
Star Tours - 10 Minutes
Rock N' Roller Coaster - 20 Minutes

With no FP+, it's great. Stop treating low crowds like a negative.

Anyone see any tributes? I had read that a small ship pays tribute to LMA. But, I'm wondering if there is any Mojave Oil co cans in tribut to Catastrophy Canyon or anything from HISTKPA or Streets of America?
