Ok, here’s how much I don’t follow basketball...

Last night someone told me that next season the Lakers have “max cap.” And my first thought was “who’s that? Is he any good?”

No offense to you but my god do i hate this arguement "they get paid to play a kid's game" NOOOOO THEY DO NOT!!!!! Most of these are sports that were create not for kids. sure some kids can play them but not at the level of these athletes can. there is a reason they are called pro sports. i aint paying 100 bucks a ticket to go see little johnny miss a ground ball. this is a horrible and ridiculous argument people use all the time and i am sick of it. and YES they should be paid the millions they do because that is the value they bring to the sport. Kevin Durant sells out arenas and tons of merchandise. he is worth every dollar. sports are entertainment and bring so much to the world. any one can teach kids not every one can shoot like KD.

It's amazing how many retire and are forced to work at low paying jobs because they spent their millions and saved nothing.

Well we can’t state that yet until ROTR opens. That’s why we have my asterisk’d disclaimer. But I suspect ROTR will be great but not mind blowing. Partly due to our high expectations. Then I can boldly claim that USO’s HP is better than Galaxies Edge.

I already think it’s better as a whole and I dislike Gringotts a lot (and am not including the Hagrid coaster).

Sorry just realized that was vague. I meant that I suspect individually that Wizarding World of Harry Potter at IOA now with the addition of Hagrids will be better than Galaxies Edge unless ROTR blows us away.

Does a professional athlete deserve to make more than a teacher? A first responder? Your doctor? I also feel actors are way overpayed.

What would our society look like if we paid teachers like athletes and athletes like teachers?

Yeah but actors and athletes are paid that much because their work brings in that much money. That’s not fair but that’s just how it is. If they weren’t paid that well then the companies, etc. who hired them would still be making ridiculous amounts and they wouldn’t be paid fairly by comparison.

They are playing at a professional level and bring in millions to their sport. the pay is fair. sorry a teacher does not make as much but a teacher does not deserve to make as much as a pro sports player. a teacher is a dime a dozen. they could get fired tomorrow and easily replaced. there is only ONE Derek Jeter, there is only ONE Michael Jordan, only one WAYNE GRETZKY, only one TOM BRADY. They all earn every big day they have ever gotten. you don't like it? facts don't care about your feelings.

If the professor doesn't explain why MB is trash and why Galaxy's Edge doesn't fit into Disneyland, it's a hack class that is a waste of money.

I’ll bring this back to Star Wars (kind of) ...

I just watched the new Hagrid coaster POV ride through on the USH thread and WOW. Universal is out Disneying Disney at the moment. I was prepared to say about 2/3 through the video that the show scenes were “just ok” but the last show scene takes the attraction over the top. I absolutely love the outdoor sections with all the trees. The ride has a great sense of scale to it. It feels BIG and sprawling.

Sigh- makes me think what they could have done with an Ewok coaster. Well I hope you all enjoy Star Tours .5, I mean the Falcon, instead.

The POV videos don't do it justice... especially what it means to ride WITHOUT spoilers first. It's the best ride experience I've had in a LONG time.. It does make you wonder what a endor speeder bike ride could have been. Much of the diving, curving, running towards things all fit that scene just as well.

It only has some minor theming quibbles IMO.. 9.0/10. I'd put it up there with FoP, BTMRR, and Spiderman as 'must do' orlando attractions.
