The asterisk does give you an out, but only if it comes true. Otherwise, boldly stating that USO's HP world is better than GE is very bold indeed.

Well we can’t state that yet until ROTR opens. That’s why we have my asterisk’d disclaimer. But I suspect ROTR will be great but not mind blowing. Partly due to our high expectations. Then I can boldly claim that USO’s HP is better than Galaxies Edge.

The only thing truly ridiculous about sports (all of them) is how much they pay the players.
No one, I don't care how talented, needs to become a multi-millionaire simply for playing a kids game.

Also, Star Wars.
Considering the owners make BILLIONS, I'd argue that the players are making too little.

I think the Hagrid ride is great example of how something doesn’t have to be 100% immersive. Those exposed tracks aren’t bothering anyone as they are joyfully zipping through those trees and sets. Those outdoor sets really make you feel like your in the English countryside or some European Forrest. On my second watch I noticed those cool cobblestone walls with moss on them. Anyway, I think folks are willing to overlook things like the exposed track for the sake of having a good time.

Note to imagineers - we re willing to suspend a little more disbelief to have more fun. As opposed to suspending less disbelief to have less fun.

I haven’t experienced GE yet, so my tune could change after August 29th. But I think the trade off of sacrificing certain ride systems for better immersion is worth it.

I can ride a roller coaster at nearly any theme park. There’s only going to be one place where I feel like I’m in Star Wars.

I don’t. I want to have fun when Im at a theme park, not live out some ridiculous fantasy while the guy next to me is wearing Mickey ears and pushing a stroller. Plus this isn’t your typical coaster.

If both are possible great. But not at the expense of having fun.

I’d have to disagree again. Have you been to the English countryside? This ain’t it. There’s no excuse for Disney or Universal to have track supports showing. Takes away all the feeling that you’re part of that world. Nothing feels wizardly or magical about seeing the supports when there are fixes for that. This is a step in the right direction, but still missing the full picture.

Well agree to disagree then.

If you took a poll of riders I guarantee you the vast majority would prefer Hagrids over Falcon (that is the kind of immersion you’re looking for right? I think, even though it looks like a video game and has you pressing video game buttons)

Irish countryside? Whatever it is I like it.

Honestly doesn’t take you to any place in the U.K. but that’s not important. My biggest complaint is at no point do I actually feel like I’m in the forbidden forest. We are out in the open and then random caves that aren’t part of the the films or books. I also hate when we go from daytime to nighttime. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves with RSR as well.

You also can’t guarantee what people’s reactions would be when comparing attractions. I get that you’re a fan of this, but that’s a bold assumption to say you guarantee. Btw, in no part am I praising falcon as that was a missed opportunity.

I can guarantee it and I’d put my money on it.

The Falcon has had a lukewarm reaction in regards to the ride experience. Hagrids is a sprawling coaster with great outdoor scenery and indoor sets/ AAs. It’s a no brainer.

The character in this photo, not sure of her name but she's part of the resistance, was roaming around Batuu mostly hiding from the First Order troopers. At one point I was standing in the corridor between Docking Bay 7 and Dok-Ondar's and I hear a voice saying 'Don't move, I need cover" and she was using me as a human shield to hide from the troopers ahead, ducking down behind my legs. Thankfully I didn't have any beans for lunch.
Her name is Vi Moradi, she also is in the book, Phasma, where she is captured on a Star Destroyer and meets Captain Phasma.
