Sadly, no. Walt died a year before the first freezing of a dead head (not the Grateful Dead variant). This, however, did not prevent the audio crew at WDW in the early '70s from naming their coffin-shaped themed audio cart at the then-temporary Castle Stage "Walt". (As in, "we gotta roll out Walt").
Very cool!

Interesting progress (hat tip Mint Crocodile)

The second section of Wall forming a pit the train can run in to keep WonderBra and Star Wars Land's views hidden.

That current portion is a little more superior/anterior to the wall than you'd expect as you can see here.

The other section of the Wall is coming along and spreading. You can also see a concrete slab poured in a section. I'm suspecting that is the eventual formation of one of the guest entrance paths into the land, or it could be the eventual dock for the Fantasmic show building. I still can't fully suss out exactly how the F! show building is laid out, the Northern boundaries of the future RoA are not super easy to see until they start working on that section.

Nice photos, thanks.

Looks like finished elevation going to be higher than we might think.
And a lot of tall rebar along the right side of the one photo - big wall headed there. They're kind of working their way out to the access road, with the wall work. Geeze, we could lose a lot of this view in a matter of weeks if there is a north/south wall coming (left - right In the photos, bordering the road).

I'm surprised that the Fantasmic! dock will be outside the railroad, but that's what the Miceage map has always shown. It seems like it will limit their ability to have taller barges for the show (like, oh say, the Tick Tock Croc), when they could have easily built the facility on the river-side of the tracks.

I guess depending how tall the facility needs to be, much of it could be directly beneath the railroad, making it a dual purpose space. If the barges all have to be short enough to pass under the tracks, I see no reason they couldn't be stored under them too

There should be some height to the facility, something like the croc could in theory fold down a bit too. More along the lines of Rivers of Light (if that ever happens that is)

The current three barges are so antiquated and simple - I really hope that's the first thing they replace.

As I recall, other than the two main ships, nothing that circles the Island in Fantasmic! is really that tall. the "tall" elements are inflatable, so they really only need clearance for the actual, low, barge/raft vessels.

Edit: BrianLo has better info above.

When I typed "inflatable" earlier, I must have been remembering the old Ursala barge. The Croc looks more rigid, but as mentioned it could be somewhat modular, with the ability for the head and tail to somehow be lowered (if clearance is indeed an issue).

I was riding BTMRR in the front car yesterday morning. We got to the top of the goat hill and saw this giant crane swinging towards us. It looked like it was going to hit us! I wish I got a picture of it.

MiceAge posted some fresh new SW construction pics today for us to geek over.

Any ideas what these are for?

Lord Trump's Wall separating Frontierland from SW Land is coming along:

The new vertical rebar looks like the beginnings for the ROA shoreline seen in the concept art:
