It will be weird to see the DLRR train go by Big Thunder trains so close. Since it looks like no pedestrians will be allow between DLRR & BTMRR, riders should be able to see each other there. Looks like traffic has to go through SWL in order to get to Frontiersland from Fantasyland.

No more trail from Frontierland to Fantasyland? I never noticed before but I think you may be right. It looks like you will have to go through SWL to get to the old entrance.

I don't get that at all. I think it would be insane to obliterate the thru-way of Big Thunder Trail. I really don't think there is anything that indicates it will be closed.

If you look at the picture it goes up into SWL and then back down. The train goes approx where the old petting farm was.

The train is going to border the river, in the art, so the path has to be on SW side of the train. So, will it be SW theme or RoA sort of theme? That's the question maybe. Would be nice if tied into the rail, RoA, fits better. Nice view and all.

I don't know why you're responding to me. I made it clear that I want nothing to do with you. In future, kindly ignore me and I'll gladly return the courtesy.

Ya I hope it's not the case and Both paths exist

Well, we're all working from inference. But using deductive reasoning, why would they reroute traffic transiting to and from Fantasyland and Frontierland into SWL? It's not like they will need to force people into the most popular land Disney has ever created. It would be like closing the walkway between BlueSky Cellar and Little Mermaid, forcing all traffic to go through CarsLand, the most popular crowded area in DCA.

I don't have any more information than anyone else. But it just doesn't make sense to me. Throughout Disneyland's history there has consistently been more connectivity, not less. Originally it was literally a spoke layout and all traffic between lands went through the hub. Even the opening between the entrances of Frontierland and Adventureland didn't exist. WDW MK introduced full connectivity in 1971 with the connector between Fantasyland and Liberty Square before Disneyland achieved that with the new Fantasyland and Big Thunder Trail.

I just don't see them giving that up. SWL is going to be wall-to-wall people, so I don't see why they would need to force more in.YMMV.

ahh, ok. So the roadway we see them maintaining down the west side will be back stage again. I wondered why they had that fenced off between the two digs. I keep forgetting they have to be able to get behind whatever show buildings they construct.

It's very curious to me. I would have thought that laying the new backstage roadway against the fence separating the tram roadway would have been a top-tier priority. They don't seem to be in any hurry to complete it or reopen Winston Gate for Cast Member access. They're spending a fortune on the two added shuttle lines--one from Ball Lot to the corner of ToonTown and SWL, and the other from TDA to Indy. The latter runs 24/7 because there is no pedestrian access to the current fenced roadway through SWL.

Would it be something to do with a new connection across the street, to the new hotel? It's going at the north end of the lot there, against the parking garage. Perhaps a guest tram only crossing? I just don't have the backstage knowledge to honestly come up with a scheme for the new scheme.

I do know, outside of California anyway, flopping down a little 'temporary' asphalt to create access out of nothing is common and easily done. Although sometimes temporary lasts many many years, much to the chagrin of the controlling authority!

I hope you re right and you make a good case. It just looks like from the map that there isn't very much room for a path from Frontierland to Fantasyland.

Ouch! That's not very nice. I'm sorry if I offended you.

Not very nice? You were not very nice in your comments about Disney CMs in the thread about Disneyland property acquisitions and you doubted things I had witnessed with my own eyes. So, no thank you. I don't wish to get into an extended altercation. I just want for us to peaceably go our separate ways.

Just want to thank phruby for reaching out to me and sincerely seeking to settle any differences we might have, perceived or otherwise. It was a gracious thing to do. I don't feel it's right for me to further characterize a private conversation without permission. Suffice to say, I think we understand each other better.
