I applaud anyone trying to make money in an ever increasing digital world. Those that aren't good will go away, just like any other product.

If the recent mergers, such as Disney buying Fox, has shown us content is king. Those that can produce and get the most viewers for that content will lead in the new digital frontier.
lol, so you basically applaud anyone with a job ;)

And while content may be king, quality over quantity should be the first rule. And at least with Youtube, quality is in short supply.

We are at the dawn of a new age of content. In this new age, everyone is either a producer or a consumer. And some consumers will even be producers. There will be those producers that suck and those that everyone flocks to.

They did that. It's called iCarly.
No, no, no, NOOOOOO! :D I mean take the characters Wayne and Garth and transplant them to today as their YouTube Channel is about to hit the big time. Nationwide casting call to be chosen personally by Mike Myers and Dana Carvey.

They are about as relevant as Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd.

Actually Mike Myers supposedly has a Wayne's World 3 script waiting to be made...

That's just a *bit* of an exaggeration (says this Edgar Bergen fan). I can say that the 21 and 25 year olds in my family love Wayne and Garth from watching the two films on cable. Fer cryin' out loud, if Yogi Bear and Woody Woodpecker can get live action/CGI films, Wayne's World can be rebooted into the Youtube era.

QUIZ-TIME!!! Speaking of scary ventriloquist dummies, what's the connection between dummy Jerry Mahoney and one of Disney's most popular characters? No Googling! Scotty Watty Doo Doo Dah!

I don't think anyone remembers Mike Myers outside of Sherk. Dana Carvey hasn't been seen since 2002 on screen. The Woody movie got direct to video because Brazil loves Woody Woodpecker. Not sure why Yogi Bear got made outside of giving Dan Ackroyd something to do.
