While speaking of Disneyland YouTubers, I just restumbled upon this guy's channel whose videos all look as if they were filmed in 1999 despite being as recent as nine months ago. This is the only good Disneyland YouTuber.

All Disney YouTubers are pathetic.

Interacting with this YouTuber alone is the reason why CMs need raises. Give Daisy a raise!!!!

So....I was following along on Twitter when Disneyland had their recent StarWars Nites and....it kind of sounded like a disaster. Long lines. Lack of cast members. Cast Members who were unfamiliar with the event and the merch and what was supposed to happen and where. Apparently some of the guests who came in costume were even made fun of. I cant help but think that these events and the May the 4th events and others are their way of prepping for Galaxies Edge and seeing how/what they need to do to manage the crowds...if they cant even run something like Star Wars Nite without complaints, how are they going to deal when the actual Land opens up and they have 10x the crowd?

It is interesting how you have one group of people that say one thing and others that say something different. Co-worker went to this thing with some of this big star wars fan friends and all they could do is rave about how fun it was. They did say that the picture ops had huge lines but that everything else had little wait times. The merchandise lines are always chaotic and that is not just in these events but any event that is aimed to fans of something. Some of these people should be used to that especially if you follow things like comicon.

my guess is that there will always be a group of people that like to complain. People have become less tolerable when things do not fit revolve around them and fit their agenda

What?

You mean, you don't think people deserve to sit in their mom's basement, record videos of themselves talking about Disney and ask people for money instead of getting real jobs?

You mean you don't enjoy seeing the same person taking over 50 shots from the same location in different outfits?

Do you mean to tell me that we'd all be much better off if we could just go to parks without feeling the pressure to keep our eyes glued to our phones so that we can keep checking to see how much validation our peers are giving us?????

What is this, 1994?

I wish that was the extent of it.

It all started with Disney Pin Trading. Disney was able to lure internet people with shiny expensive pieces of metal that they could trade with CMs for better pins. These people showed off their metal necklaces via meet and greet pictures. Meet and greets became hugely popular. Everyone had to had a picture with characters. No longer could characters run around and play with guests. Then came those vinyl figures and NBC HM and Small World holiday overlays. All of these things get published to the recently created social media. The internet sees AP prices are cheap and overwhelm the park looking for these pieces of crap. Now you have a group of people that are addicted to popcorn buckets and forming social biker groups and vlogging.

If it weren't for Youtubers, we wouldn't be able to virtually visit every park on the globe and ride every ride.

For some reason, though, the DL and WDW tubers just seem more annoying... maybe it's because many, at their hearts, are hoping Disney will take notice and bring them into the fold, while most other park tubers are just documenting something they'd like to share with the world with no ulterior motive.

They are so annoying with their stringy blonde hair, Waldo glasses and Titanic references.

I have zero problems with Youtubers/videos that explore the parks without the vapid commentary (see: @marni1971 's entire catalogue and our regular SWL updates from SILA and Yensid55...yes, I know he talks, but its helpful talk).

I suspect you're right though. The only reason people make youtube content is to get noticed/paid. What gets me though is just how much they honestly believe that we couldn't do without their voice/opinions. Like, I can respect it if you're just doing it as a hobby and having fun with it, but when you try and make it your living? Get a real job.

Is that a good thing? Where is the surprise, discovery and adventure? Watching a youtuber video is like reading the Cliff Notes of a novel that an idiot scribbled all over in crayon.
I personally do not have the time or money to visit 99% of the parks around the world I've seen via Youtube. I'm very grateful for the chance to see all those sights in some form.

The no-talk (or minimal-talk) real-time walking tours are my favorites.

YouTubers saves me the trouble to see construction progress and the various new food trends that don’t deserve trying every single time. It’s actually quite informative and enjoyable.

See the thing is you can't criticize Disney vloggers but at the same time patronize their wares. Their videos are typically low quality with childish observations. Why do Disney vloggers need to talk in cartoon voices and dress like ten year olds? How many times has someone done a full ride video of Space Mountain that is four minutes of black? How many times have we seen a vlogger creeper scam on face character princesses. Those girls need their pay tripled immediately! I believe the world would be better off without youtube. At least we wouldn't have Justin Bieber.

Disney Vloggers aren't the ones I watch. I'm referring to people around the world who post well-shot (and minimal yakking) 1st-person walking tours and ride-throughs of/from their local parks.

There's a ton of great content on Youtube. You just have to dig for it. :)

Have you guys seen this person. He has quite the happy energy and very talented when it comes to impressions.
You can’t help but smile when you see him interact with characters in his videos

He seems like a likebale guy and can do a few good voices. Unfortunately, not all his voices sound as good and he doesn't seem to be able to do much besides mimic rather than creating original content.
