I don't mind when people earn money from YouTube from however many views or subscribers they get, or however that works.

But if you're going to ask me personally for money so you can afford to go to Disneyland and make the videos, I'm gonna look at you like you're crazy.
I remember a podcast/podcaster that rhymes with Shmindow to the Shmagic asking folks to send him money so he could go to Walt Disney World and record his "where in the park" audio games for his subscribers. FFS. He immediately had one less subscriber.

I don't think it was confirmed but I believe @Old Mouseketeer said it's for some backstage building.

We're starting to split hairs here. Micechat labelled the eastern corner of SWGE (adjacent to Toontown) as "expansion". While it's true that any backstage service area is potential expansion for new attractions, a land as large as this requires a certain amount of support services. We know from city permits that the first white one-story building is designated as wardrobe storage and dressing. I have elaborated in other comments my estimate of all the possible uses under that umbrella term and this is what my rebel spies are still telling me. The newer two-story building is believed to be more tech services-oriented.
No matter how relatively cheap these buildings are to construct, the likelihood is that they are not going away anytime soon, especially given the propensity for Disney to use so-called "temporary" buildings for decades.
Everyone is welcome to their own opinion, but I would be willing to bet that this service area will remain used for that for more than the 5-10 year window for a new attraction in the vicinity of those new buildings and the adjacent FL Theater and western end of Toontown. This is also supported by the choice Disney made in rebuilding part of the underpass under the RR tunnel next to FL Theater.
In short, I think any conjecture about this space being actively designated as expansion in the near future is unfounded and unjustified. The only possible option I would give credence to would be actual expansion of SWGE. But there is almost no alternative for relocating the new services that are going to occupy these buildings. YMMV.

I agree. What could happen if there's a need for a new SW attraction is that it gets built with new backstage facilities integrated within (under?) it. That could have always been a part of the master plan, but for now the "temporary" structures will do just fine.

Yeah not sure if you saw one of my follow up posts but I questioned the logic of building one or those temp buildings on an expansion pad if the plan was to build a ride there in the not too distant future. We shall see. It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if that expansion pad is used for Star Wars (although I think it's completely unnecessary) and Toontown/ Wonderbra are used for a Frozen FL expansion.

I truly applaud your observational skills. I still can't quite see what you're referring to. I thought all those vertical beams were just for the spires??

Haha! Here, maybe this will help.

These are the same structures visible from Toontown, but captured here from the Mickey & Friends Garage.
