i hope this wakes Chapek up and makes him realize that people aren’t as dumb as he thinks they are and they re not going to just eat up whatever **** you serve. Maybe it flied with Pixar Pier because expectations were low but not in DISNEYLAND with Galaxies Edge. Better yet I hope he gets fired.

I honestly don't think Mr. Chapek cares and he doesn't even get it enough to know why he should care, and his boss doesn't care either.

No you re only dumb if you do it a second time and accept anything less than Pilot.

I made sure to do all three spots so I at least could give a fair review of the ride. I'd probably only accept a non-pilot spot going forward if I was with a bigger group that featured two friends who had never gotten that experience before.

The amazing irony is that the engineer and gunner spots are almost perfectly-designed for small children so that they can do something and not affect the overall ride experience to a great degree, but it doesn't matter because any good parent is going to want to give their kid the opportunity to fly the Millenium Falcon.

That's what I did. The first time I was paired with a perky family of five from British Columbia, and I obligingly sat in the back with the sullen teen while her more adorable younger brother and sister sat up front and drove like crap. I even pushed the buttons that do nothing, while the sullen teen checked her phone.

Second ride I sat up front as Left Pilot with spastic teenager as Right Pilot while the rest of her family sat in back and talked amongst themselves wondering why they were on this Star Trek ride instead of waiting for the fireworks. We drove like crap.

Third ride I just sat in back and watched the video game. I didn't even try and push a button, because it's all a scam and I'm pretty sure every time you push a fake button that Bob Chapek gets more Likes on his secret Facebook or something.

No you re only dumb if you do gunner/ engineer back to back. They were separated by a ride as pilot. You re in the clear.

Not this parent. Sit your @$$ in the back son.

You can argue that ‘Batuu is stupid’ and ‘Falcon isn’t fun’ but that’s a little like saying Frontierland should have been colonial era and Big Thunder should be replaced.

Go on, but you have a few decades ahead of you before it becomes plausible.

Big difference is that Big Thunder Mountain is fun and most people agree. I've seen many reports of Falcon being underwhelming in many ways, some seemingly irreversible. Frankly it's a boring ride with seemingly nothing to offer unless you're fortunate enough to get one of the pilot seats, something only 1/3rd of guests receive. An attraction where 2/3rd of the riders it takes in don't get to have fun is definitely a failure that needs serious reworking if not outright removal.

Well, there are worse attractions that are still with us.

Are there really, though? Other than Mission Breakout, that is. Sure, there's Winnie the Pooh, but a ride like that obviously doesn't have as much on its shoulders. I'm sure if there was an idea to get rid of Pooh, and it had enough of a budget, we'd see that ride go.

I think we might be overestimating how busy SWL will be when APs are unblocked in August/ September. I predict 90-105 minute wait time averages for Falcon for the first 3-4 weeks and then it will level off somewhere around 45-60 until ROTR opens.
Oh I think the fact that it’s a brand new ride and STILL not the highest wait time in the park by a huge margin pretty much guarantees that.

That's probably correct although I might say it will push two hours the first few days. I'm not sure I would say it is overestimating though. Disneyland has a ton of ride capacity. You typically don't see the wait times at DLR that you do at WDW because of the ride count of each park.

I am intrigued to see what happens in Florida. DHS has only 5 other rides when GE opens there. There's not a lot else to do there other than wait for GE stuff.

Yeah it could hit 2 hours the first few days. Maybe even the first week. I was talking In averages for the first few weeks.

In addition to wait times, I’m intrigued to see what the overall reaction is out there, especially to the Falcon. All of the negative to Lukewarm DL reviews will lead to tempered expectations and most likely lead to slightly more positive reviews.
