Does anyone else prefer Star Tours II to the MF? If you get the pre-2015 scenes like the Wookie world, Coruscant, Naboo.
Those planets remain largely the same though in the current canon thankfully! Meaning whenever they add more missions ideas like that will become a possibility in the future. Just seems way too easy for them not to do.

The solution is either pay the CMs more to encourage better behavior, or get staffing for appropriate levels based on the crowds.

Hmm.... Disneyland CM's currently start at a minimum of $15.00 per hour for all entry level park jobs. The restaurant CM's start at a slightly higher wage, even though they can work at Disneyland at age 17 and most other departments require you to be 18. California minimum wage is currently $12.00 an hour, federal minimum wage is currently $7.25 an hour.

Just out of curiosity, if $15.00 an hour to start is not good enough, what do you think the entry level hourly wage needs to be for these CM's to decide not to stand around talking to themselves and ignoring the customers? :)

I did the Millennia Falcon as gunner and it was lame just like the engineer. Unless you like sitting back and watching little Timmy wobble the pilot stick back and forth, pilot is the only fun position on this ride. Engineer is mashing a bunch of buttons next to the back door and Gunner is just holding a button. I felt like an idiot in both roles.

Pilot isn't even that great, let's be honest. But it's actually fun. While it's still a video game on rails, you can move the ship just enough that it works for me. If you crash it just right, it can actually be kind of intense and it's exactly the kind of thing your morbid curiosity would want you to do in such a game.

I suppose not being pilot could've worked if the ride was something you could really take in, like other flight simulators. But it doesn't even look good, to be honest. It looks like video game graphics and the screen is kinda dimly lit.

I don't know, everyone. I've been defending this one because I get a slight thrill out of moving the pilot sticks, but I'm kinda thinking we really have a dud on our hands.

A Guilt-E Ticket Pleasure.

Finally visited yesterday and a couple quick points:

- The land is enormous. Photos don't do it justice until you're standing in front of the Millennium Falcon. The land is visually impressive.
- My favorite parts of the land were riddled with nostalgia. Interacting with Chewie, seeing the Millennium Falcon in person, having Storm Troopers interact with my Yoda backpack, etc. Disney should've capitalized more on the general public's love for the original trilogy but it makes sense from a marketing perspective that they'd want to push their own stories.
- MF: SR was fun because my entire crew was interacting with each other. I was the gunner but because there's basically only one button to press, I was able to keep my eyes on the screen while simultaneously shooting. Will definitely try to be pilot next time.
- Maybe the music complaints have been taken into account because I heard more than I thought I would given the complaints. The ROTR side of the land had ambiance noises but the marketplace was playing a sort of techno music. Not the John Williams score some might've hoped for but it gave the land more energy.
- The Ronto Wrap was surprisingly tasty and the blue milk was very odd. I tasted a variety of flavors from bubblegum to coconut. My girlfriend described it as sticking a piece of bubblegum to a mint leaf.
-MOST of the cast members I interacted with were okay. The cashier who took my Ronto Wrap order was pleasant, the cast members in the Droid Shop and antique stores were very kind and the pregnant bartender in the Cantina was awesome. Seriously, that bartender was awesome. Greeted my partner and me with a smile, gave us recommendations based off what we told her we liked, asked us how our drinks were, had a charming personality and did this all while carrying another person! I gave her an extra tip.
-The drinks were pretty good. I got the drink with the "fuzzy foam" that makes your lips numb. While the sensation threw me off, the drink itself was delicious. My partner got a green drink with ginger and herbs that she also throughly enjoyed.

My biggest complaint (aside from ROTR not being open) was how the seating arrangement at the Cantina worked. We got our reservations at 6:40. We visited the land around 2 to take some photos and noticed a long line at the Cantina. We wanted to be prepared so we go to a cast member checking people in and ask how we should go about it. She told us to arrive at 6:20 so we could be inside the Cantina by 6:40. Okay cool, we plan the rest of our day around this. We come back at 6:20 and notice there's a decently long line. When the cast member asks us what time our reservation is she tells us that we're early and says "You guys should come back...hmm...at six ffff......ourty" as if she's pulling this number from the top of her head. We informed her that her co-worker asked us to come back at this time and she says that they need to shorten the line before they let us wait. Okay? We're a little annoyed but we assume they knew what they were doing and decide to browse the shops. We come back at 6:40 and the line is TWICE as long. And to make matters more annoying, the couple behind us is 15 minutes early for their reservation and the cast members let them stay in line. After finally being given a table to stand by (next to an annoying family more concerned with selfies than watching their kids), my partner and I both went to the bar to order drinks. As we were waiting to order we turn around to notice another couple had been given our table. I was frustrated so I told my partner that we're going to stay at the bar and finish our drinks there since we don't have a place to sit anymore. Aside from these minor annoyances, the Cantina was a hit with me and my SO.

It was a fun experience but I'll hold off on a final grade until, what I consider to be the main draw of the land, ROTR is open.

Thoughts on replacing it with an X Wing coaster?

So is this phase 2 just the restaurant or another ride too?

Phase 3 should be a time machine where you get taken back to a notable event/battle from the OT.
Archaeologists found a hidden cavern on Batuu that led them to the revelation that Batuu is one of the entrances to the world between worlds, allowing guests to experience events from various points in the Star Wars timeline. Boom. Took 5 seconds to make it work with their desire to stick to canon.

So I just remembered that there is some sort of small waterfall in the ROTR queue. I think they were going for a pretty stark contrast between the ROTR and First Order side of the land. The ROTR queue and surrounding area has a waterfall, caves and trees- things we that come to expect at Disneyland that are pleasant and/ or mysterious. Probably to evoke hope- which is what they want you to feel on the Resistance side of the land. The other reason is they are trying to enforce that there is some space between the two areas.

The First Order side/ village is mostly a dreary sea of beige and things that are broken, blasted etc.. With that said, From what I’ve expeienced, I don’t find the contrast very obvious as the trees/ landscaping is more dessert chaparral not Forresty, the waterfall can only be seen in the queue and beige/ tan still dominate.
