Aren’t there like... 6 1/2 operating hours left?

What boarding # are you?

On multiverse Batuu-1, they usually ended calling groups two hours before close. Earlier if the ride went down sorta near that end time.... they didn't bother bringing the crowds back.

So, does anyone have any proof they're selling fourth wall breaking merch in SWL?

Because all the online pics of RotR merch I've seen so far has been from Star Traders.

Haven’t they been doing that between the figurine set outside ROTR and the droid figurine set at the droid depot. They also have magnets that say “Smugglers Run.”

Hmmm... the RotR figurines, I think I do remember. And yeah, they'd be breaking the immersion.

But the droid figurines seem in character for a droid depot.

This is what I expect from Star Wars. The ride can't undo the mistakes of the land, but as a standalone product it is amazing.

I was also underwhelmed with the land overall and the Falcon ride specifically during my extensive June visit, and a subsequent walk-thru inspection later in the year.

I wonder... might Disneyland have been better off by just building the Resistance ride with a small village with the Savi's experience, the blue milk snack bar, a single gift shop, and the Cantina on the original land that Star Wars was slated for; the Autopia/Subs complex in the northern half of Tomorrowland? It would have been a fantasy based mini-land off of Tomorrowland, but would have been easily understandable to people going from spacey future to this Star Wars environment.

Hindsight is 20-20, but once Mr. Chapek cut out all the break-the-rules and redefine-the-theme park-industry extras that WDI had planned for Star Wars Land, it might have just been better to do the Resistance ride with a small shopping/dining complex around it.

That would have saved them a great amount of money and hassle it would seem.

Again, hindsight is 20-20. But when you've got a senior exec who lacks vision and an understanding of both the core product (Disneyland USA) and the entire industry (theme parks) like Mr. Chapek has proven himself to be, it seems that would have been the more successful path to take.

I think Disney would have been better off but I think Disneyland would not. I’m still hoping for a great big beautiful Tomorrow(Land), as foolish as that may be.

My vote (in hindsight and foresight) was/ is DCA. In foresight, I thought GE made more sense in the hodge podge that is DCA. In hindsight I would just amend that like you said they really didn’t need the whole village area. Bang wasn’t worth the bucks Especially since we have Star Tours and they didn’t knock it out of the park with Falcon.

In the plus column for Star Wars Land, I do think the Rivers of America and Disneyland Railroad experiences were plussed up greatly and freshened beautifully as part of the Star Wars Land expansion. Those two 1950's classics got a new lease on life and will now be a part of the park for decades to come, if not forever. Disneyland USA now has the best river and railroad experience of any of the Castle parks, no contest.

The park overall benefited aesthetically and operationally from the Star Wars Land expansion. That's good news!

But now that we've seen what's inside that big new land and how it will apparently be operated (barring Mr. Chapek leaving suddenly like Catherine Powell "to do something else"), the payoff of Star Wars Land seems a bit weak.

So much for that Grand Reopening of GE I thought Disney was planning. I envisioned the possibility of rolling out a bunch of droids/ aliens, a new mission for Falcon and some new entrainment debuting with the ROTR.

We did get R2, the Soda cart droids and some Green milk with Tajin though. The former 2 being steps in the right direction. But I guess if you re Disney/ Chapek, why roll out that stuff all at once when you can piecemeal it and offer something new over the course of a few years to keep giving people a new reason to show up?

I have to agree. I also enjoy many of the aspects of Project Stardust, especially with what they did to Adventureland. I can also fun walking through Big Thunder Trail with my mom again now that it's been plussed and they kicked out the cigarette smokers. Thanks SWL!
