I haven’t been but my sister and bro in law loved it.
Yeah, it seems like something that'd be quite a bit of fun if you have some other people into it. I did it myself because no one else in my party is really into that kind of thing, but it was still fun. Almost did it again in Vegas earlier this year with a group that would have been into it, but stuff came up.

Are you talking about The Void: Secrets of the Empire?
Yep.

Just a tip: If you haven't tried the Chicken Salad (Errr...Roasted Endorian Tip-yip or something, whatever) at The Intergalactic House of Cargo Containers, it is very tasty and filling. Thought it had a solid taste profile and the portion was huge - it was a real dinner, especially considering it was a salad.

Shoot. Wish I would have tried it last time when we had two roasts, one ribs and one noodle salad. Don’t see myself going back anytime soon. The food was very meh. For almost the same price you can have a good meal at any of the table service restaurants at DL not named Blue Bayou.

I like Galaxy's Edge. 🤔 Land just needs more fun stuff to do. I'm out here advocating for change and improvement while you want Disneyland to stay a museum. Learn to let go, man!
I don't remember advocating for a museum. This thread is for people to post their impressions after visiting. I'd rather see those from new visitors than the repetitive bashing. I didn't post my report hundreds of times.

We're 119 pages on this thread several months after the land opened. Reviews are all in and they're that the land needs improvements.

And if you don't think that piloting the Falcon is about a thousand times more charming than a junky mall simulator...

Well, then you're dead inside and there's no hope for you.

Kinda like people who waste endless hours arguing with other people on Disney and/or Star Wars geek sites.

Oh wait, is that a mirror I see....?

My bad. Go about your business--this is not the geek you're looking for.

Yes
As much as I think (and have said as much in these forums) that GE can and should be improved upon, some of the criticisms here are ones I don't really get.

I had plenty of fun and was laughingly almost constantly during my trip to GE. Fortunately, with only one exception, I didn't have lazy CMs as some have described, the CMs were all great, fully engaged in their role play and very helpful and fun. But even that lazy CM was still trying to keep us entertained.

My interactions with the costumed characters, particularly the stormtroopers, were absolutely, brilliantly hilarious. Spending time with Vi Moradi was delightful. Watching the eye in the water fountain, listening to DJ Rex, listening to the droid roasting the spit, watching Dok Ondar lose his cool - these are all fun and, yes, "funny" details in the park.

I guess if you just walk around the land and literally do nothing, you'd be bored. But you could say that about any part of Disneyland.

You have to me a more active participant in GE than maybe people are used to. And maybe that's not for everyone, fair enough. But I was having nonstop fun during my entire visit.

It sounds like you visited a completely different GE than the same 3-4 people who post about it on here. I was also led to believe the land was a “dead”, badly designed war torn Iraq. Oh, and Smuggler’s Run was a unfun joke. It’s funny when reality is different.

I need to try it out.

BTW, did I mention the main dining facility in the 14 acre Star Wars Land at Disneyland is a dark warehouse full of cargo containers? Sometimes you have to step back and just say that out loud. Out of all the possible amazing Star Wars restaurant ideas that you can imagine, THAT is what they built. Mind-boggling.

If you read the Al Lutz article on Micechat it will make a lot of sense. I wonder what the dining area was going to be originally.

Disney released this artwork in February, 2016 on the Disneyland 60 TV special, and it was used in the Lutz column today.

It was going to be a supper club type experience, with a band and girl singers and such. And apparently C3PO as our host.

At D23 Expo 2015, when Mr. Chapek was brand new to his Parks job, he used this artwork in public as he described a table service restaurant.
