This guy had a good time. 😅 😅 😅

This has to be a joke right?

First few minutes 'Knight' claims you get in a box truck to take you to the Starcruiser (you don't) and that it takes 4-5 mins to get there (it doesn't) and that you see planets you pass on the way there (you don't). He then says the blue captain sits you down and repeats everything you've been told (she doesn't) and that no photographs are allowed during the entire stay (they are and you can actually video it)? Says everything there has blatantly been stolen from other sci-fi franchises?

What a bizarre video full of untruths. I mean if the guy did go and paid his money then he's perfectly entitled to be honest and complain about his experience. However you'd think he'd get the basic fundamentals correct otherwise it makes you wonder, did he actually go?

I did have a question related to this. Knight claims that you are randomly assigned as a First Order sympathiser or a Rebel sympathiser such that, there are equal; half First Order sympathiser and half Rebel sympathiser.

Previously, I heard you answer general questions on the datapad, in effect, allowing you to choose which side you want to be on.

Did it change to force the equal split?

I can see why they want to do that, as they dont want it lopsided either way; to make it easy for the crew to execute missions.

From the reviews I've watched it kind of looked optional. Perhaps @HoustonHorn can verify as he visited recently.

I'm not sure if the guy actually went--I think he's right in that you're likely to be assigned to a storyline but there are four storylines, not two (bad guy, Jedi knight, rebel pilot, smuggler). If too many people already clicked into, say, being a Jedi, you might get your "second choice." That and the app might be buggy...

Dates continue to sell out on a regular basis. Not quickly, but they added three more months because of demand.

We don't know if all those un-sold-out dates are 5% booked or 95% booked. So, clearly not a runaway must-do for the millions, but not going backwards, either.

We'll see how many whales there are in the ocean.
I have always wondered what percentage actually full would result as displaying full on the calendar.
Showing fully booked cruises on the calendar would enforce an idea of demand thereby entice folks to book in fear of missing out.

I think that was a swing-and-a-miss attempt at satire. It was like a bot was reading this thread and put together a complaint video:
Blue Captain! Box Truck! Check-In! No Pictures! (I can only presume he was thinking of the media previews with a picture embargo, because pictures and video was being taken everywhere.)

Yes, you are funneled into one of the storylines that will determine your missions on Batuu and your experiences the second day when you return. But no, it isn't wholly random - if you show up in a shirt that says "Bounty Hunter Services," you're probably going to be sent into the Rogue storyline (which I was).

I will have a new character when I go back, because I want to do the Jedi path next time.

I am sure Disney does not care how many guests are on board per voyage even though the charge is per person. For appearances it is best to show fully booked even if only one person per cabin. The pricing model is designed to be more expensive per person the fewer the guests in each cabin. Disney just wants guests to put up the money and get their heads into the fantasy.

NO! You get a **TICKET**! And if the **ticket** is blue, you go to one side of the hall and now you have to be with the rebellion!!! And if it's RED, you go to the other side and have to be part of the FIRST ORDER!!! Even if your children are Star Wars fans, they'll be FORCED into an alignment they don't want!!!!!1!!!

Just like we saw in all the videos of people who actually went!!!!

If that guy claimed he'd been abducted and probed by aliens it wouldn't be a surprise if we're being honest would it? :D

And to think that's the best example of a bad review on a forum where we're being asked to weigh up whether the person reporting it is a reliable person who can be trusted or not :D

I mean, I'm not exactly gonna take vacation advice from a person calling themselves "Doomc***." I dunno. Just a thought.

Also if you look at the other videos the person seems... unhinged. Let's just say.

Sorry if I was not clear.
I have always wondered how many cabins must to be occupied for a given cruise to display as fully booked on the calendar.
I presume its something less than all cabins?
My thinking was, showing fully booked cruises on the calendar would enforce an idea of demand thereby entice folks to book a future cruise in fear of missing out.

I don't know the answer but it could be argued that it costs them money saying 'it's full', if it's not. I mean if there were say 5 rooms available next week and Disney said there were none, that's minimum $25,000 they're risking to 'look busier'? So in that made up scenario they're deliberating not selling those rooms in order to convince people they're full?

Didn't see that coming... oh wait :)
Of all the vlogs I've seen, I only remember one person saying they took that bus.

Others talk about being picked up from their hotel with Ubers or private cars, which was never advertised (AFAIK) as a service.

So... I'm guessing they never had enough people to make the bus run worth it. And if anyone really needed to hang out anywhere in the morning of their incoming flight, they'd just taxi them to Springs or anywhere else and pick them up later as needed.

Yes, exactly as it was questioned the day we first heard of it... noted below
I'm really perplexed here. What is the audience expected to use this bus route?

Maybe.. but that at least is just a fixed time around certain hours. And at the price point we are talking here... who wants to start their trip off with hanging out in the DS parking lot?? That is just so far off brand... figure out how to do car service or dedicated shuttles. This feels so wrong.

Understood. On the one hand, leaving any cabins on empty, Disney is leaving money on the table. On the other hand, there could be a magic number of cabins, that when filled, they show it filled on the calendar?

I don't know. Maybe they are literally filling every cabin when the calendar show a cruise is full?

We will never know. Like the attendance numbers in the park, they will never tell us.

It would be interesting experiment to call Disney a day before a cruise day where you see it's full on the calendar and see if you can get a cabin.

Guest: Hello Disney, I was wondering if there are any rooms available for that Star Wars hotel tomorrow?
Disney: Did you check the booking calendar?
Guest: What's a booking calendar? Could you please check for me? My son Melvin really wants to stay there to meet Han Solo and Luke.
Disney: Well, Han and Luke.... er nevermind... Let me check.. Great News it looks like we have a cabin just open up.
Guest: What's a cabin? Anyway, Yes please book us for a party of three please.

Oh Penguin, you reminded me!

I should have included this in the review. My buddy and I did a 1-night prestay at Beach Club. The morning of our arrival, we had a voicemail telling us that we could get a cab voucher for a free ride to the Starcruiser. You're absolutely right - not advertised and unexpected. The bell service manager knew exactly what we were asking for and it was completely hassle-free (other than the cabbie having know idea what was happening or where we were going).

With everything else going on, I forgot. I would put that in the "Great" category in my review - a really nice perk that was unexpected.

They could do that of course but then again any hotel could, I'm not sure why the Galactic Starcruiser should specifically be accused of that? Personally I think as Disney is so keen to make money that the idea they would leave money on the table to 'look busier' doesn't seem likely. Again it's just a guess though.
