And here is the proof positive that people have vastly different opinions. When I watch that Kylo Ren and Rey "fight", I find it so lackluster as to be embarrassing. You think it looks great. Different strokes for different folks. Disney just has to wonder how many folks will pay attention to the first round of "reviews" and plop down a huge chunk of change.
It looks depressing to me--not because it's the worst thing I've seen in my life, but because it's basically a stunt show from any theme park. It's sad that this kind of basic entertainment experience is now only available to people with more money than sense.

There was a crowd cheering them on... so... it wasn't like it landed like a dud with the guests. I think the folks there knew that it was merely stage fighting and they know what they were getting.

None of the videos or reviews posted in this thread have thus far panned the battle.

The more-realistic light-saber reveal was cool tech (despite the switch-off being clunky). And the conveyor belt for a Force pull were great uses of tech. And the crowd appreciated it.
Great use of tech? She was on a hoverboard for crying out loud!

Correct. And no actor can be there all time time. Right now is as good as it is going to get until a future refurbishment and rewrite.

They usually need at least 3 of each although they may be training more since there’s no reserves yet

Wow. If Disney has hoverboard tech, I'm dumping all my money right now into DIS stock!

You should invest now because they clearly do.

I honestly think a lot of the costumes have gotten a bit frumpy everywhere. I realize comfort is important, but it's difficult to overlook an orthopedic black shoe.

They have in the American parks, definitely. And yet these Starcruiser uniforms aren't just frumpy and lumpy, they are cheaply produced and devoid of any detail or glamour. They look like dental hygienists in Ohio.

Tokyo Disneyland has solved the shoe issue for CM's who are on their feet all day; they cover them up!

Here's the Space Mountain uniform at Tokyo Disneyland. It's not a $2,000 per night "immersive adventure", it's just one of the E Tickets that's been in the park for 40 years now.

Anyone see any teens in the videos? I only saw young kid’s and adults. My own kids 14 & 16 saw the vids, thought it looked cool and said they had no interest in going. And the 16 year old is a huge SW fan.
In some of the bridge videos there are teens who look bored as the actors so call 'act' and are leaning against the consoles. Also in one of the Gaya videos, she walks past a pre-teen and the look on his face says it all.
